  • MY CLOUD EX2 ULTRA GIVES THE POWER TO MULTI-TASK AND EASY FILE SHARING

    Western Digital Corp, founded in 1970, an industry-leading developer and manufacturer of storage solutions that enable people to create, manage, experience and preserve digital content, has today updated its consumers solutions with My Cloud EX2 Ultra, a high-performance, two-bay network attached storage (NAS) system. 
    The My Cloud EX2UltraNAS is designed from the ground up for creative professionals and prosumers that need to automatically sync content across computers, easily share files and folders and enjoy multiple backup options so they can create their own personalized digital library with ease.

    My Cloud EX2 Ultra has been upgraded with a powerful 1.3GHz dual-core processor,have 1GB of DDR3 memory. Several data management and security features allow users to select a preferred method for managing and protecting their movies, photos, music and digital files.

     Drive management options include RAID 0, RAID 1; JBOD and spanning modes, while data protection options include NAS to NAS, USB, cloud or LAN/WAN backup. The My Cloud EX2 Ultra  NAS comes preconfigured in RAID 1 mode to help protect data right from the start and is easily configurable into other data protection modes.

    High Capacity and Ultimate Reliability
    Consumers can physically add higher capacity drives (upto 16 TB) to the diskless My Cloud EX2 Ultra. Additionally, customers can attach compatible USB 3.0 hard drives to the USB expansion ports. WD Red drives are powered by NASware™ 3.0 technology, improving drive reliability and minimizing data corruption in the event of a power loss or disruption.

    Easy Sharing with Anywhere Access
    With simplified file and folder sharing, users can send customized, private links that allow recipients read/write access to particular files on the user’s My Cloud EX2 Ultra. The My Cloud EX2 Ultra features an intuitive dashboard, so user accounts can be created, features customized and storage can be monitored with ease. With MyCloud.com web access, or the My Cloud mobile app, users can access their media and manage users from any internet connected device.

    Advanced Features
    My Cloud EX2 Ultra includes advanced data serving options including an integrated FTP and WebDAV server, backup server, P2P download server and Microsoft Active Directory support. Additionally, users can download and run a host of third party apps, including, Plex®, MilestoneArcus™surveillance, aMule, Icecast, Joomla!®, Anti-Virus Essentials, WordPress®, SqueezeCenter, and more. Users can also stream videos and photos to connected TVs, media players, gaming consoles and other DLNA®/UPnP® devices with  the included Twonky 7.2 DLNA-certified 1.5 media server, and built-in iTunes® support.

    Price and Availability
    My Cloud EX2 Ultra range is currently available at select Indian retailers at a price of Rs 17,499.00 for the diskless My Cloud EX2 Ultra and Rs 35,499.00 for the 4TB. The WD My Cloud mobile app currently is available for download for free from the Apple App StoreSM and Google PlayTM.

    My Cloud EX2Ultra comes with a two-year limited warranty on the diskless device and a three-year limited warranty on the pre-configured devices.

    My Cloud EX2Ultra is compatible with Windows® 10, Windows 8, Windows Vista®, OSX®El Capitan™, Yosemite™, Mavericks™, Mountain Lion™as well as DLNA®/UPnP® enabled devices.

    A smart wearable watch is being developed by Intex, which is useful to ensure child saftey. The Intex iRist Junior has good design also has inbuild tracking device and it also has parental guidance, to helps in ensuring safety of child.

    Smartwatch works on 2G services. It has Location-based Service (LBS) enabled which makes the smart watch a tracking device. Its Geo Fencing allows parents to restrict child moving area, as it allows parents to pre-define child movement boundary, whenever child crosses that boundary it notifies to parents. 

    The smartwatch has inbuild Auto Call and Voice Chat features. Auto Call enables parents to reach out to their kids by listening to the surroundings without child answering the call. Voice Chat feature on the other hand enables the child to talk to parents and friends, thereby enabling a smooth two-way communication for toddlers.

    To ensure more saftey of child, device has SOS button on the top right side of the watch. By simply pressing the button, the kid can send an alert message to a pre-defined list of people who can be reached out for help in case of trouble. 


    Smartwatch is designed specially for parents who are not able to constantly track their child. The smart watch is light weight, water resistant and is available in kid friendly colours which make the device an ideal wearable for them.

    Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon 820 , Soc during the MWC earlier today the company has finally launched the most hyped and most anticipated Snapdragon 820Soc with Adreno 530 Graphical processing unit. The chipset is said to be using Qualcomm’s custom 64-bit based ARMv8-based Qualcomm Kryo CPU and FinFET process node.  Qualcomm will be using the Adreno 530 GPU for the chipset which will offer 40% immerse graphics and is said to compute the power usage capabilities than the Adreno 430 GPU.


    The chipset has support up to 2.2GHz 64-bit based Quad Core Kyro CPU and comes with Qualcomm Adreno 530 GPU, Up to OpenGL ES 3.1+. The chipset is said to be faster and powerful than last years Snapdragon 810 chipset, the chipset efficiency might result in great battery life overall. Connectivity of the chipset supports Cat.12 LTE downloads with 600MBPS and Cat.13 uploads with 150MBPS. The Wifi Connectivity of the chipset support 2×2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac which is the fastest available in today world but you will be needing a wireless router with MU-MIMO support which are not available that easy but we can surely expect in future.
