  • Le Max 2 : Camera Review

Powered with Snapdragon 820, 4 GB of RAM and no 3.5 MM audio jack, Le Max 2 is one of most exciting and  astonishing smartphone that you get your hand on right now. So today we will get a in depth look at the less talked feature of flagship device from LeEco, its camera.
The Le Max 2 comes with a 21 megapixel rear (primary) camera, which will take extremely high resolution photos. While its 8 megapixel front camera makes it a great choice for selfies. It can capture 4K high definition video with its primary camera, the highest resolution current smartphones support.
    The Front Camera

The camera's max lens aperture size on the LeEco Le Max 2 is about average for smartphones. This isn't a huge factor, but some photo enthusiasts may prefer larger apertures for shallow depth of field photos, or fast action shots.

LeEco Le Max 2 utilizes the same Sony IMX 230 sensor with 21MP resolution we saw on the Meizu Pro 6, Pro 5 and the Moto X Force. It is capable of 5312x3984px snaps in 4:3 aspect. The auto focus uses a hybrid system, incorporating phase detect auto focus in addition to the regular contrast detect system.

The camera UI is simple and you can swipe through the different modes - Photo, Pano, Video and Slow-mo. Live Filters are available, too.In the Photo mode settings you can tweak the ISO, exposure, white balance, contrast, pictures size, among other non-essential stuff.

The HDR mode is meant to get an even wider exposure of a scene - bringing back detail in both the highlights and the shadows. The Le Max 2 does a very good job of bringing back detail in tricky scenes. It's one of the better HDR algorithms we've seen.

Here are some more LeEco Le Max 2 camera samples.

    The Front Facing Camera

Finally, you can check out these 8MP images taken with the front-facing camera of the device. Naturally, it's a fixed-focus one but the focus seems fixed way too close to the camera and unless your head fills the frame, your selfies won't come out nice and sharp.

It's a rather nice camera, but it's ruined by its implementation. You can still get some pretty nice selfies if your work with its limitations.

    The Videos

Le Eco Le Max 2 shoots videos up to 4K resolution (3840 x 2160px) at 30fps and 1080p videos at 30fps. There's no 60fps option.

The 4K videos (41Mbps bitrate) produced by the Le Max 2 are really good. The resolved detail is great, as well as contrast and colors. There is an unusual amount of noise in the shadows even in broad daylight so we'd guess this issue would only get worse once it gets darker. The corner softness, which we witnessed on many of the sample photos we took is, in fact, visible on some of the video samples as well.

The audio recording is stereo, but is recorded at 96Kbps bitrate and it sounds quite shallow. The 1080p videos are good as well with great contrast, an average level of detail and nice colors.

    Conclusion

The 21-megpaixel sensor gets optical image stabilization and a closed-loop motor for better PDAF performance. The camera is quick to lock focus when you change your frame, without needing you to tap the screen. There is some degree of shutter lag as we noticed a slight blur in some images. The bottom line is that the sensor produces well detailed landscapes and macros with neutral colours. In low light and under artificial lightning, chroma noise is well within bounds although the detail level of distant objects isn't the best. 4K and full-HD videos are good although the sensor fails to re-adjust focus when you pan, thereby forcing you to tap the screen manually. Slow-motion video is shot at 720p at 120fps, but the quality is not great.

Le Max 2 : Camera Comparison

The camera app could also use some tweaking. While it's simple and straightforward, it feels incomplete without a professional shooting mode, especially when you have a good sensor. There's panorama mode, filters and voice control. The settings menu also lets you adjust white balance, ISO and exposure, but it's not presented in the most convenient way.

  • LG Touches Emotional Chords With Innovative Video On Father’s Day!

Each year, 19th June is celebrated as Father’s day. We mostly celebrate it by conducting conventional dinners, lunches and pampering our daddy dearest. This year LG India has taken the initiative of celebrating Father’s Day with a twist by making a ground-breaking statement.
The idea is simple yet powerful. LG India has created a Digital video on Father’s day which seemingly looks like a father’s day video but is actually directed towards the powerful community of single mothers.

It starts with kids of varied age group talking about their aspirations, likes and how their dads contribute in their everyday life. The first kid talks about how he supports his dad spending some quality time with friends, while another kid discusses how his dad’s leg-shaving skills came in handy for his first shaving lesson.

This odd conversation about dads is funny, weird and keeps the audience glued. What truly hits is the end, when these little ones discloses that their actual dads are their single mothers. The mountain who protects and keeps everything together are their single working mothers, who is every bit a woman, not afraid to take the world by storm.

It is truly empowering to see women breaking rules and taking charge of their lives. Wearing the hat of a doting mother, a supportive father and a thorough professional with a smile is not only tough but needs a lot more than courage.

This father’s day, take a moment and watch as empowered women take their stand!

  • Facebook Allow Users To Upload Videos In Comments

Facebook, world's largest social networking platform, added 1 more exciting feature to maintain its position. Facebook users can now leave videos as comments on posts and status updates.

Video can be uploaded by selecting the camera icon underneath a string of replies previously used only to add a photo. Users will now be able to upload their own video clip on Facebook's iOS and Android app, as well as on its regular site.
The feature was prototyped in a single day as part of the company's 50th Hackathon early this year, but was honed over the past few months, Facebook engineer Bob Baldwin explaining that it was "no small feat to add support across interfaces and within two heavy traffic services, like comments and videos."
The increased video views have helped drive Facebook's shares up, as features like the new video upload ensure that moving images are visible at every level of its network.
The social network has increasingly focused on adding new features over past few years like: Add 360 degree photo to Facebook newsfeed, Set video as profile pic, Calling Uber, Usernames & Codes.

  • 10 Unknown Features Of Facebook

90% of people reading this post must be facebook addict, spending 2-3 hours daily on Facebook. Still, there are some features of Facebook, which we are not aware of. I had already learned & tried these features, now its your turn.

    1. Hidden Inbox

We use only our regular inbox and very few know that a secret inbox also exists. Facebook has made this for covenience of users, so that we don't get bombarded with messages from weirdos.
Open message section of your Facebook account, then click requests> see filtered requests. Suddenly you will be surprised to see many messages mostly from unknows.

    2. Download Album

Downloading images 1 by 1 is quiet a tedious task. But, Facebook has already made it easy for its users. Head to album and click drop down menu in corner.

    3. Blocking Game Request

Many of us must be getting hundreds of request to play games on Facebook.

You have two options: You can block all invitations from the app you’re not interested in; or you can block all invitations from the people who invite you to every damn app on Facebook. Also, you can set things up so app invites don’t appear in your notifications.
    4. Calling Uber

This is the most amazing trick, which we can't even expect.Facebook is trying to give the functionality of all the other major apps on one platform.

One of the best Facebook chat tricks is that you can order an Uber from within the messenger app itself. But, initially you should have login into your Uber account. Then you will get a car symbol, click on it. You can also call Uber by sending message through Facebook..

    5. Receiving Notifications On Login

Protect your account by adding another layer of security. Many of us had already have set up two-factor authentication for our account. If not, do this in Settings > Security.

Another new trick available in Settings > Security is to get login alerts whenever someone logs in to your account Facebook account. These alerts can be sent via your browser and devices, or to your registered email addresses. This can also help we forget our password, it can help to recover our account.

    6. Using Advanced Chat Setting

Are there a some people who always irritate while chatting. Now, we can easily get rid of such type of people, without blocking them. We can adjust Facebook Messenger such that, these people will never see us online as available to chat.

When on Facebook, you’ll see the Messenger docked into the lower right-hand side. At the bottom of this is a settings cog that says “Options” when you hover over it. Click here and you can fine-tune exactly who sees you online and can chat to you.

    7. Showing Posts Liked By You To Selective People

Liking pages or posts on Facebook is just something we do every now and then, with no real thought as to who might see that we’ve liked the page and what that might mean to them.

It’s really easy to permanently adjust these settings if you’re in the habit of keeping your Facebook friends lists in order.

Head to http://Facebook.com/{YourName}/likes, click on the edit pencil and choose manage privacy. The settings for each genre of “Likes” will be visible and able to be managed using the same privacy options available to you elsewhere on the site.

    8. Live Video

Facebook Live Video is Facebook’s answer to Snapchat and Periscope, combining some of the best features of each into a tool any Facebook user can use. It’s just rolled out to most accounts, groups and pages worldwide and is a whole lot of fun to try.

You might like to use it to show your distant family what’s going on at your birthday party, or to make your friends jealous of the festival you’re at. Business people might show off some new products or do a behind-the-scenes introduction to staff.

If you’re shy, watching live video is still a fun activity. Facebook lets you add emotive responses and comments to the post, and future viewers can follow the activity as it went down, along with joining in with the conversation below as per any Facebook post.

    9. Turn Your Profile Into Facebook Page

For new user it is not easy to understand each and every function available on Facebook. So, if you had created  your business profile then you can migrate it to make business page. It will make friends of your previous account as fans of your new page.

This migration is important, as according to Facebook privacy policy this is not legal. So, their is danger Facebook might delete your account.

    10. Add Legacy Contact

When you die, Facebook generally will accept a death certificate from your next-of-kin and allowing your page to be memorialized. But what if you want more control?

Well, you can decide in advance who will have access to your account by adding a legacy contact. Just head into Facebook Settings > Security and add your favorite person as your legacy contact.

If the whole idea of a memorialized page makes you cringe, you can instead choose to delete your account after your death. As soon as Facebook receives your death certificate these changes will go into effect.

    Design of Meizu M3 Note

Meizu M3 Note looks quite similar to most of smartphones available in budget market segment of Indian market. Although it seems to be inspired from iPhone design. It comes with aluminium body and feels quite easy to hold with one hand.

    Display and Camera

Meizu M3 note have decent viewing angle and good color production, video playback on device is also great and sound output is good too.

The 13MP rear camera of Meizu M3 Note certainly isn't among the top features of the smartphone. While the image quality was good, we were not very happy with the colour reproduction of M3 Note's camera. Having said that, we were happy with the job that the 5MP selfie camera of the phone did when we clicked a few images with it. Apart from the usual modes that are there in most phones, M3 Note's camera comes with a mode that lets you creates GIFs.

    Overall Verdict

At the price tag of Rs 9,999 Meizu M3 Note have to compete with LeEco Le 1s Eco and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. This device have a great design but average performance set it bit back. Stay tuned wiyh us we will soon bring out detailed review of Meizu M3 Note 3.
  • Facebook Messenger Introduces Group Calling Feature

Facebook Messenger is getting a big feature today. The update, which is being rolled out globally today, will bring group calling to the instant messaging app. The service will be available for free on Android and iOS apps.

The procedure to start a group voice call is pretty simple. You just need to open the group chat and click on the call button. The app will ask you to select the group members you would like to call, and once that’s done, all selected people will get the call notification simultaneously.

If someone couldn’t receive the initial call, but the call is still in progress, the person can join in later by tapping the phone icon in the group chat. The caller can see the active participants of the call and ping anyone who has not joined or got disconnected.

There’s a limit of 50 active participants in one group call, which is more than enough. Group calling isn’t a common feature amongst Messenger’s competitors and there are only a few popular services which offer this feature.

Facebook started offering VOIP calling back in 2013 and released the feature for all Facebook users in April 2014. Messenger was used for 10 percent of global calls in 2015 and this new group calling feature puts it close to any regular calling service available over GSM networks. A Messenger spokesperson said “There are situations where typing isn’t enough and when people prefer talking to one another.”

Group video calling, however, is still not here yet. It is expected to be released eventually and Facebook executives have confirmed it as well.

Messenger aims to completely replace the regular phone number one day and be used as the go to method of communication. Strangers can talk on Facebook since last year as well.

However, Messenger does hold an added functionality. While blocking regular phone numbers is difficult or costs money, blocking some stranger on Facebook is simple and free. Harassing someone is very difficult on Facebook if you know the options available to you.

There is still some way to go before Messenger’s group calling can overtake Skype as the professional method for long-distance video communication. Video calling and auto-mute for group conversations would definitely put it up there with Skype. The rise of the platform is definitely unquestionable as Facebook has over 1.5 billion users and Messenger has 900 million users. These numbers are Messenger’s greatest strength over its competitors as well.
  • From 15 to 60 sec: Instagram extends the video length

Instagram has begun rolling out longer video recording for its iOS and Android app, the company announced.

Users will soon be able to record and post Instagram videos that are as long as 60 seconds.

Instagram has increased the video limit on posts because users have been watching more videos on the service.

"In the last six months, the time people spent watching video increased by more than 40 percent," the company said on its official blog.

Only a small group of users, including verified and unverified accounts, will get first access to the longer video publishing feature.

The feature will be available to everyone "in the coming months."

The company also said in the announcement that it extended the video length because it wanted to deliver flexible and creative ways on how users can watch and create videos on the app.
  • Apple releases short film on autistic teen

April is Autism Acceptance month. These campaigns are meant to raise awareness and provide information for the general population to learn more about young people’s struggle with this neuro-developmental disorder. This morning, Apple released a pair of videos on YouTube showing how technology can assist those with special needs.

The short films focus on a teenager named Dillon, who uses his iPad to communicate with the world around him. As stated on Apple’s autism page from its official site, “During Autism Acceptance Month, he reminds us that everyone’s voice should be heard.”

Dillon has the same thoughts and ambitions as his peers, but he is unable to express himself in the same ways. But through technology that employs augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), he is now able to share to thoughts and feelings. AAC includes any form of communication besides oral speech. When we type, text, draw, or even smile, we are conveying our thoughts, feelings, and wishes through AAC. Those with speech or language problems rely on AAC to supplement or replace speech. In Dillon’s case, it’s a tool in the form of an app on his iPad.
