For the past 6 months we all have heard the name DONALD TRUMP at least a few times , whether it be through our friends in the news or on our facebook wall this name is everywhere but sometimes its hard to understand who exactly is this man and what significance he holds.  this article will help you answer these questions.

So the first question is who is Donald trump …..well he is a American business magnate who is running  for the post of the president of the united states on a republican  party ticket . the American democracy has always been a bi party democracy and so his opponent in the general election will be Hillary Clinton of the democratic party who happens to be the wife of former president of the united states Bill Clinton.

Now the reason that Donald trump has been in the news so much is due to a couple of reasons .First of all he is NOT a politician, he has never held any public office and has never contested any election whatsoever. In his own words he is not a well seasoned politician and in the past has expressed his distrust and dislike of the political class. And that has been part of his charm as the people are so fed up of the political class that they now believe that only  Washington outsider can fix their broken system.

Second and the most important reason he is in the news so much is his views. Long story short his views come across as racist,sexist,homophobic and xenophobic. From the day he announced he was running for president he has been one of the most polarizing public figure in the world . He says that Mexicans that cross the border to come into the country are rapists and drug dealers and he plans to build a wall around America and the cost of the wall will be borne by Mexico, a idea many have called ridiculous and absurd. He has called women he doesn’t like pigs, dogs and many unflattering things and he believes that the LGBTQ community do not deserve the rights the same rights as everyone else.he says that global warming isn’t real and it’s a hoax invented by the Chinese.   His views are so disparaging that the UK parliament has passed a resolution which bans Donald’s entry into their country.

Now the question arises why is he being liked so much in his country. The simple answer is that he is a former reality tv star and he knows what people respond to. He throws all kinds of gimmicks and tantrums that excite and awe his potential voters. He calls his opponents names like “crooked Hillary” or “lying ted” ,he  encourages his supporters to punch people who do not like him. Perhaps the  most awe inspiring moment was when he went  in front 300 million Americans and referring to his penis size said that there is “no problem down there” when someone implied that because his hands are small  something else must be small. The Donald has been caught many a times with his foot in his mouth .

It’s a long road to the general election in November of this year but rest assured the world will continue to be horrified and amused by his views.

When the Silk Route (shown in Red in below figure) was blocked by the Ottoman Empire, the Europeans were in search of a sea-route to India and China. By that time, the maritime trade in south Asia had been very well established over the course of a few millennia. The route shown in blue was the spice trade route.

The Brits, French, Portuguese and Spanish were in a rat race to discover the sea route to India from Europe. Towards the end of the medieval period, a vast portion of the royal finances was spent in building ships to find the sea route to India. With the silk route and the spice route blocked by the Ottomans in the funnel like region near the Tigris.

India along with some Southeast Asian countries form the most populous region in the Indian Ocean. In fact, it is combined the most populous region, overcoming China. The countries share the trait of inter-linked culture with huge dose of "Indianans". The region is called Greater India.

At the time, Greater India was divided in to hundreds of individual kingdoms. The region was broadly referred to as India by the Europeans as it lied to the other side of the Indus river.

Both the cameras of iPhone 7 are likely to be powered by LinX, a specialises company for manufacturing multi-aperture camera equipment. It is also worth mentioning that Apple bought LinX in April last year. Dual-camera setup is said to include two 12-megapixel sensors, one with OIS (optical image stabilisation) and a wider field of view, and the other featuring a 2-3x telephoto lens. The hardware is expected to come from the company's long time supplier of cameras - Sony.

According to the patent titled "Mobile Camera System", while the first camera will capture the complete screen, the second camera with a longer focal length will let users capture clear shot even after zooming. 3D imagery functionality is also hinted. Also suggested is that while one camera could capture a video in normal playback, the other could capture it in slow motion.

The Indian Government has decided that all mobile phones can be sold in the country with a panic button and GPS from January 1, 2017, and January 1, 2018, respectively.It aims to help improve security of women and increase accountability of the security forces as well.

Essentially, phones will have to ensure the facility of the panic button by pressing numeric key — 5 or numeric key 9 — to enable an emergency call. On smartphones, the order says that a customer should be able to make an emergency call by pressing either a special panic button for a long time, or use the existing power button to do the same by pressing it thrice in quick succession.

The new rules were announced by India's telecom ministry to improve safety for women. While the numeric keys 5 and 9 will be used for panic buttons in feature phones, smartphone manufactures will have to introduce a new button or feature to send emergency alerts.

All manufactures, including Apple and Samsung, will have to abide by the new rules and introduce this software updates for phones sold in India. Smartphone users should be able to make an emergency call by pressing the panic button for a long time, or by pressing the power on and off button in quick succession three times.

The feature had been first proposed by India’s minister for women and child development Maneka Gandhi last year, with Gandhi calling for the introduction of physical panic button on mobile phones last year.

Yet, the Indian government’s new measure will make emergency assistance available to a much bigger number of women and in a much more convenient way.

of poachers.

The system uses data on past patrols and evidences. It gathers information on habitat and the paths of animals. With which we will be able predict the poachers trail.

Dear Kashmiri friends (the ones who don’t like India),

I write in this open forum because something terrible is happening in the Kashmir Valley. The recent events at NIT Srinagar only brought the situation to national attention. Some students burst crackers when India lost the T20 semi-final. Many students were beaten for raising the Indian flag. Thereafter, bloody clashes have broken out in north Kashmir.

I understand that there is little pro-India sentiment amongst locals in the Kashmir Valley. Many would rather the Valley be on its own, some wouldn’t even mind being with Pakistan. I will not judge you. Despite being a patriotic Indian, i won’t hold it against you if you hate India. You must and do have your reasons for it.

However, allow me to present another point of view. Allow me to tell you how your future will be best, on a practical basis, if the Kashmir Valley integrates and assimilates with India. This is not an emotional, political or historical argument. It is simply more rational for people in the Kashmir Valley who seek a better future to do it with India.

Sure, the experts will jump on me now. Experts who have made the Kashmir problem their fiefdom. However, if the problem were indeed solved, how will these people stay relevant? Hence, they always attack any solution with their elitist ‘this is too complicated an issue’ stance. They love complicated. It gives them another conference to attend. You suffer with complicated, as the problem never gets solved.

The issue is complicated for sure. For those who don’t know the Kashmir issue, here it is in a nutshell. India became independent. Princely states were assimilated. Jammu & Kashmir didn’t accede. Pakistan attacked Kashmir, took half of it (and still controls it). Kashmir’s ruler called India for help. In return for help J&K became part of India, but with riders.

J&K would have its own constitution, have more political independence than other states, while the Centre would handle defence, foreign affairs and communications. In theory, it was a good solution, a sort of one country, two systems approach. In reality, it never worked.

Instead of two parents as planned, J&K became nobody’s child and an orphan. Pakistan took advantage and used the common factor of Islam to start a militant movement. The Indian army tried to control it. However, it is difficult to control terrorism that co-exists with a civilian population (case in point: even the world’s superpowers appear unable to control Islamic State).

Hence the Indian army, and India, only got a bad name in the Valley. Thus the ‘we hate India’ slogans and perennially unsolved Kashmir problem.

The question is, what is a Kashmiri youth to do now? First, it is important for everyone, not just Kashmiris, to understand the area and people involved. The J&K map we see in Indian textbooks is far from what exists on the ground. Half of what we see in the map is taken over by Pakistan and China. Even though India may claim it, unless we are okay with heavy civilian casualties (which we are not), we will never get it.

Hence, let’s just focus on the half under Indian control, which can be divided into three areas: Ladakh, Jammu and the Valley. Most of the trouble is in the Kashmir Valley. This is only around 7% of the area Indians see on the J&K map and approximates the size of Manipur. In terms of people it is 7 million, roughly the population of Chennai.

The terrain is rugged and the area is completely landlocked. Even if we were to indulge the argument that India is a terrible country and so Kashmir Valley should be on its own, can you really build a sustainable country out of it? It will be a tiny stub in a troubled area, abused by both India and Pakistan. With no real economy and extreme dependence on its giant neighbours, it risks becoming a cesspool of terrorism, drugs and smuggling.

There is also a risk of its being taken over by fundamentalist Islamic forces. It is unlikely anybody from outside would invest money in such a dangerous place. There would be no jobs and no safety. Would you want to live there? Ditto if it joins Pakistan. India is seen as a major emerging market economy. Pakistan is not even seen as a real economy.

Another issue is women’s rights. Half of the Valley’s people are women. Given the hold of 

fundamentalist Islam, their rights would be curbed under both the independence and Pakistan options. This half of the population would be better off with India. Or do what women want not matter?

If you are Kashmiri and care for Kashmir, the best thing you can do is to integrate with India. Your population size is small, only 7 million. It is not unthinkable to unite them and create a group of people that talks real business with the Indian government. Your local politician won’t talk assimilation, as he or she would rather hold more power than a typical state government in India. However, for you, the youth, the best bet is to make the Valley truly part of India.

The rest of India should not ask for the removal of Article 370. The 7 million people in the Valley should. Kashmiri Pandits who were made to leave the Valley need to be brought back. Terrorism is no solution, nor revenge and retribution for Indian atrocities. Terrorism is only going to harm people in the Valley most.

So, it is youth in the Valley who have to now start a movement to really solve this problem. Get rid of Article 370. It is not empowering Kashmir. It is only empowering your local politicians, who frankly can do nothing for you without Indian integration.

Don’t blame the Indian army. It has the tough job of weeding out terrorists from a civilian population which is almost impossible without collateral damage, terrible as that might be. However, blame those truly responsible, the Pakistani army, the local leaders who exploited the situation and the experts who did nothing for you.

Don’t burst crackers when India loses. Don’t feel good when India fails.

Because if India fails, you will fail too.

WhatsApp could have accidentally entered into troubled waters here in India by enabling its end-to-end encryption for all. The new security feature by WhatsApp is not what is required by the Indian telecom rules and WhatsApp could face a ban, if the rules are not adhered to. But not yet.

After Apple’s problems with the FBI over unlocking an iPhone for retrieving encrypted data splat all over the internet, tech giants such as Apple and Google backed Apple’s decision on refraining to help the FBI to unlock the device. The major reason for Apple not helping the FBI was user’s data privacy and security norms. But the FBI managed to crack open the phone without any help from Apple, which is not a big question if the user’s data is even secure and private anymore.

In India, companies need to follow the country’s rules and adhere to specific types of encryption, which WhatsApp does not currently use. WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption on its chat service means that WhatsApp or anyone else won’t be able to crack open its contents.  Only the sender and the recipient are able to read the encrypted data. WhatsApp uses a 256-bit key for encryption of all chat messages, which is only known to the sender and the recipient.

Why is it not possible for WhatsApp to help decrypt users’ messages? "No one can see inside that message. Not cybercriminals. Not hackers. Not oppressive regimes. Not even us," WhatsApp founders Jan Koum and Brian Acton wrote on their blog.

However, as for the Indian rules, online services are only permitted to use up to 40-bit encryption. If they need to use higher encryption standards, they need to seek permission from the government, and the way WhatsApp is setup, it seems a bit too difficult to obtain the same. In order to get the required permissions and green flags from the Indian Government, WhatsApp needs to submit the keys, which sadly, they too actually don’t have.

Hence, indirectly, all those who are currently using the updated WhatsApp app in India are actually using it illegally, says the report.

A report by The Independent  that the Indian government has not yet decided whether they will take any action on the issue and deal with WhatsApp to come to a conclusion.

However, according to the Indian encryption rules, OTT services, such as WhatsApp, do not require encryption standards like telecom operators do. Telecom service providers and internet service providers in India require a license from the DoT to provide encrypted services in India. These include internet telephony and chat services and a usage of up to 40-bit encryptions, only after depositing the decryption keys to the Telecom Authority. Since WhatsApp, Skype, Viber and such services are (over-The-Top) OTT-based and not telecom operations, they are not yet regulated in the country as they do not come under the encryption requirement laws.

The TRAI had released an OTT consultation paper back in 2015, but are yet to issue any such regulations in the matter. In the absence of such regulations, OTT services with such encryptions are presently free to operate legally in the country. However, things could change, citing lack of decryption keys and possibility of illegal activity with terrorist groups and alike on such OTT services.

In other countries, such as France, Skype was made to register with a telecom service provider in order to operate with the encryption standards it holds in place. Similarly, many other countries, including China, Germany and a few others, have also put regulatory systems in place. OTT services are well regulated in countries overseas.

Firstpost mentions Asheeta Regidi, an Indian cyber law specialist, stating, ‘WhatsApp, being an intermediary, is expected to comply with directions to intercept, monitor and decrypt information issued under Section 69 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Complying with such a direction will now be impossible for WhatsApp in view of its end-to-end encryption. Even before the introduction of this, since WhatsApp is not a company based in India, it may have been able to refuse to comply with such directions. In fact, compliance by such companies in regard to data requests from the Indian government has been reported to be very low.’

The Independent further reported that countries like India are currently looking to pass new policies on the new encryption standards. But it is presently unclear whether these new policies will bring new requirements on WhatsApp.

The big question now is that, will India allow WhatsApp to continue in India or will it enforce a new OTT regulation which will put encrypted services like WhatsApp, Skype, Viber and others into the grey zone?

Mossack Fonseca, the law firm at the center of the Panama Leaks scandal, could have been hacked through outdated versions of WordPress and Drupal, according to analysis by the team behind Wordfence, a security plugin for WordPress

Significant security holes in both CMS platforms, which were being used to power the front end site and a customer portal, could have resulted in the leak that’s shined a harsh light on the wealth of the 1%.

The law firm’s front end site was using a WordPress plugin that is vulnerable to attack and can provide shell access on the server to a hacker  Revolution Slider, the affected plugin, is one of the most common WordPress security vulnerabilities.

A working exploit for Revolution Slider was posted back in October, 2014. Since then, any hacker with enough time on his hands can exploit sites that use the outdated insecure plugin. The working theory is that the hackers found out that Mossack Fonseca were vulnerable via automated robots that routinely check for the plugin invulnerability. Once it was logged as a possible target, the hackers probably rubbed their hands in glee at the unexpected stupidity of storing sensitive data on the same server as web content.

That’s not all. The firm’s Drupal portal for customers submitting sensitive business information was also out of date by a staggering 2 years. What’s even worse is that Drupal 7 was termed critically vulnerable  and experts recommended an immediate upgrade in a later relase. At the time, the Drupal Security Team said, “You should proceed under the assumption that every Drupal 7 website was compromised unless updated or patched before Oct 15th, 11pm UTC; that is, seven hours after the announcement.”.

So it’s possible that the company’s Drupal site was backdoored for over a year. With the web and email servers being on the same network, it was a matter of time before hackers got to the emails once they had access.

While Mossack Fonseca has put up a firewall in the last month and have updated the WordPress core, it would still be possible to exploit the site if they were running the outdated plugin, notes Wordfence.

In conclusion, we’d like to stress the importance of basic security principles. Just update. If you are using a site that powered by the WordPress CMS, it’s essential that you upgrade your plugins, themes and WP itself as soon as a newer version is available. While your data may not force leaders of countries and MNCs to resign, it’s still valuable.

Turn Off Bluetooth Unless Required

While using this technology at home may not pose much of a threat, but when Bluetooth is activated away from home, your device can be bluejacked (remote hijacking).

In short, your device can be accessed by hackers even if you are using the latest iterations of Bluetooth i.e. BT versions 4.1 or even 4.2. To prevent hijacking and snooping risks, Bluetooth should always be off when not in use.

Keep IP and MAC addresses hiddenPeople are often unaware that IP address is a gateway to their device. These are like digital addresses, since IPs can be used to locate any device. There are many softwares or apps which can be used to keep your IP address hidden over the world wide web. However, devices are exposed when connected to the same local area network.

Each connected device is recognized by its MAC Address (name). When in a public place or when using an internet connection that is being shared by others, you are potentially open to remote attacks. Anyone with your MAC address can specifically target your device if they desire.

The only way around this is to keep your digital identity hidden by using VPNs and a reliable Firewall app which can protect against any hacking attempts.

Never Trust Apps From Unknown Sources
All smart devices come with their own respective app stores. Android devices usually come with Google Play Store, iOS devices come with Apple App Store, and Windows devices have their own store. Despite that, users often choose to install apps from different websites and other unknown sources.

The first thing to do is to avoid unknown sources for apps. There’s no guarantee that the app you have downloaded hasn’t been tempered with already or if it’s actually a malware app. It’s better to avoid apps from outside the official app stores. However, if it is really necessary, then download the app from its official website. Even then you should read app reviews to know what you are getting into.

Use a Numeric Password rather than a Pattern Lock
Pattern locks are very easy to bypass. If you consider privacy to be important, use pins or passwords. While patterns may be easy to unlock repeatedly, pins and passwords offer far greater security. You can double your security by using third party security apps which offer changing pins. They protect you even when you unlock your phone in front of somebody.

Another alternative would be to get your hands on a phone with a fingerprint scanner. Smartphones with such security features are difficult to fool and ordinary people will stand little chance if they attempt to pry into your personal files.

Jailbreaking or Rooting
Some of you might not understand terms such as jailbreaking or rooting. To describe these terms simply, Jailbreaking or Rooting is the process of gaining advanced access to your device’s software and hardware via an OS vulnerability. This allows you to increase your phones functionality, customizability and gives you access to a realm of developer mods.

However, it’s not all that great. With such advanced access, you risk your device’s security. Hackers can make use of any flaws in your device security and take control of your device in a manner which is not possible otherwise. Facebook just announced the biggest changes to its mobile platform in a long time. Its Live video is now one of the prime features on its mobile app and has gone on to replace the message button that occupied the center of the app.

Since its release, the feature has gone on to become one of the more popular ones on the app. With services like Periscope catching fire in no time, Facebook has the rationale to believe it can make its own name, thanks to a global user base to its name.
Visual changes and All

The looks are clearly the more important aspect of any app, and Facebook has done some major work to make livestream the centerpiece of attention, quite literally.

It has added the ability to post Live Reactions to the video as it plays along with the ability to add comments to it, which is important since people are 10 times likelier to comment than on ordinary videos. However, with the new Replay Comments, you would be able to watch the comments chronologically as they appear when you watch the video later.

There will be an option to place a Live Filter on a video, with a set of 5 options initially to customize your stream as it goes. In the future, you’ll also get the ability to draw doodles live.

The same goes for Groups. An artist can take the audience backstage or inside the studio, though the audience will only be restricted to the authorized group.

The Indian space agency ISRO and US space agency NASA will join hands for the first time to launch a satellite that will help study earthquake and its patterns.

The satellite will be named NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar, or NISAR. It is designed to observe and take measurements of some of the earth's most complex processes, including ecosystem disturbances, ice-sheet collapse, and natural hazards such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes and landslides.

NASA Administrator Charles Frank Bolden told they are planning to launch the satellite by 2020-21, but ISRO AS Kiran Kumar said they are looking to prepone the launch.

The project will not only help in understanding the seismic activity but also give inputs for monitoring agricultural activities in India, says ISRO AS Kiran Kumar.

"The US is providing L-Band. It will help us look at crustal deformation. We are looking for hints at earthquake detection. We cannot predict earthquake but we can advise people where it has occurred. We are hoping to launch it by 2020-21," Bolden told reporter.

"The activity involves building a payload with L- and S- bands synthetic aperture radar. It's a new technology instrument. While NASA provides the L-Band component of the electronics plus the antenna, which is a huge one. ISRO will provide the S-Band and the payload will be integrated at NASA and then the payload comes back at Bangalore. It gets integrated on the satellite, which is being built and will be launched by ISRO.

"So, currently the activities are going on in full swing. Both the governments have cleared the basic mission. We are looking at a possible launch with 2021. We are trying to advance the launch and we are working towards it. As far as we are concerned the usage of this got many significant usage for our programme," Kumar said.

"You can measure accurately the variations in surface topography, accuracy of millimeters. So, it's not earthquake prediction that is possible and making measurements of locations where large deformation are consistent, observation of changes in surface measures which will lead to stress levels being built up at certain locations which could help in understanding the behaviour of understanding earthquake and its phenomena. The objective is to make systematic study in timely manner," Kumar said.

"We are very much excited about it because for the first time two of our agencies are working together on such a big scale," the ISRO chief said, adding that both the space agencies have formed a working group and they would meet periodically.

"In future, we are also looking at what we could so with NASA in our future MARS missions. We are also looking at opportunities for some of our payloads which can be carried on their (NASA's) programmes. This is a continuous dialouge on how we can take forward our current engagements on Mars programme," Kumar said. 

Targeting at the government’s various flagship welfare programmes, Datamini, a Mumbai-based, OEM, has launched TPOS7 – Janunnati Pad, an enterprise class, touch-enabled mobile device.

Branded as ‘Janunnati Pad’, the device comes with an integrated STQC-certified fingerprint scanner which can be used for Aadhaar authentication for multipurpose.

Company official told FE that tablet can be used to help in the implementation of key e-governance initiatives like DBT (Direct Benefits Transfer) via Aadhaar-linked savings bank accounts of beneficiaries, through its in-built fingerprint scanner, payments card reader and barcode scanner.

The tablet can also be deployed in other government schemes, like in the ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana’ (PMJDY), to extend banking services to the rural and urban poor; make wage payments linked to Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS); deliver subsidised foodgrains to BPL families via the e-PDS (Public Distribution System) and monitor public health services under the National Health Mission (NHM).

Similarly, insurance companies, banks and other private organisations can also used it for various purpose including e-KYC.

Priced between Rs 12000 to Rs 20000, Janunnati Pad comes in two variants – 3G embedded and 4G on demand. The rugged device has 7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 pixels by 600 pixels. It is powered by Intel Atom x-5Z8300 processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM.

The tablet packs 32 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Janunnati Pad packs a 5-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel front shooter.

The Janunnati Pad runs on Window 10 Home or Professional and is powered by a 5000mAh removable battery. It accepts one micro SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G, 4G. The pad weight around 550 grams and has unique features such as fingerprint scanner, bar code reader, SAM slot, smart card reader, debit and credit card reader.

According to Datamini, it is planning to manufacture 1 to 1.5 Lakh units of Janunnati Pad in an year from its manufacturing facility located in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. The tablet will be delivered on pan-India level and after sales services will also be available across the country.

Since most of the e-governance or welfare programme implementation happens at state level, so company is planning to reach-out to state governments along with central agencies.“Our priority would be to get the product available to the government agencies across the country and as per their policies, we will channelised the product,” Pitamber Ahuja, managing director, Datamini Technologies told FE.

The company launched the Janunnati Pad in partnership with Intel and Industry body MAIT in the national capital on Thursday.

While unveiling the device, Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi focus is on the proper implementation of DBT and key to the success of such programme is an affordable machine that have all required features in-built which can considerably reduced the cost per transaction. He says, “The cost per transaction for KYC is between Rs 1500-1700 and machine like Janunnait can reduce that cost to Rs 10. India need such kind of machine that has potential to solve India’s problem.”

Datamini is also mulling to go global with this product, specially company sees huge potential in African markets, where mobile wallets such as m-Pesa are doing good. “We are confident of the value proposition of this product and aim to extend its benefits to other countries as well in the near future”, said Ahuja.

While the startup has kept things simple, Talha Zaheer ( Pakistani), the founder of Ticket Kataao, says that they will consider moving to a more granular level of calculating payouts if the market demands it. Once you’ve decided on branding your car, you start using the company’s app while driving around till you get matched with an advertiser.


For branding the car with high quality vinyl, all costs are covered by Ticket Kataao and a locally manufactured tracker is added to the car (which can also double as an emergency tracker). Each advertising campaign lasts around 3 months.

As you’d expect, location and routes matter since advertisers value high traffic and busy commercial areas. Naturally, there’s variability introduced due to that. However, Talha tells us that:

As with any startup that gathers customer information, there are privacy issues. In this case, the tracker technology. To alleviate any concerns, Ticket Kataao provides heat maps instead of track lines to advertisers. ”Big data analysis is our sole concern”, adds Talha.

For monthly payments, Ticket Kataao relies on checks until they automate the system through direct bank transfers.
 

Concluding Thoughts
While the idea behind the startup is smart, there are a few possible hiccups. Firstly, it’s going to be an uphill battle to convince owners of high end cars to put ads on their cars. Usually if you’re buying a car worth PKR 2.5 million, you don’t need the extra cash. Furthermore, for some people it might reduce the premium feel of the vehicle.

Secondly, Ticket Kataao’s success is going to be entirely dependent on the strength of their marketing efforts. Initial numbers (the startup has around 500 signups already) have been encouraging and I’m of the belief that commercial partnerships are going be the rarer commodity rather than the number of people willing to put ads on their cars.


This also provides a potential solution to my earlier point. If Ticket Kataao can provide a wide selection of vinyls from advertisers across multiple industries to customers, they could actually bill it as the cool way to show the world what you’re passionate about. So rather than a sterile sticker about Panadol, it could be your favorite football club or your preferred brand of clothing. Now who wouldn’t want that?
