    Key Notes about 2Future Event

    • The Le 2 and Le Max 2 both don't have 3.5mm audio jack, that mean no noise that produced due to analog transmission of voice.
  • LeEco likely to bring video-on-demand to India on May 3

LeEco likely to bring video-on-demand to India on May 3
Chinese entertainment conglomerate LeEco -- formerly LeTV -- is set to host a launch event in India's entertainment capital Mumbai on May 3. There has been lots of speculation around this event with multiple reports suggesting that the company would bring its recently launched Le 2, Le 2 pro and Le Max 2 phones to India on May 3. The chances of that happening are however very slim.

Sources have told India Today Online that LeEco may go ahead and do something entirely different. This is not to say that the Le 2, Le 2 pro and Le Max 2 phones won't be coming to India. They will, just not right now.
So, what exactly is LeEco up to? We know that back home in China, the company is known for its content ecosystem, for which it is also called the Netflix of China. While launching its debut Le 1S and Le Max phones in India in January, the company had also announced its tie-up with Eros Now for Video-on-demand (VOD) and YuppTV for TV content streaming.
"We're very excited to be the first company to introduce the concept of content ecosystem on mobile devices in India. We have always been proud of our innovative content-integrated ecosystem, and these new collaborations only reiterate our commitment to build the Le Ecosystem in the country. We are confident that this will not only add an entirely new dimension to the user's experience but will change the dynamics of the industry," Atul Jain, COO, Smart Electronics Business, Le Eco India had said.
While partnership with Yupp TV will give users access to YuppTV's catalogue of live TV channels, the tie-up with Eros Now will allow them to watch Bollywood content and regional movies on LeEco phones, on the go. During the launch of the Le 1S and the Le Max it was stressed that the content vis-a-vis these platforms would be pushed out to its phones via a software update, sometime in Q2 2016. Moreover, content would be free to use for at least six months initially after launch, the company had said.
There's a high possibility then that LeEco will announce this new integration on May 3, as also announce the software update roll-out for its phones. The block your date invite sent out to the media also highlights the 'entertainment' aspect of the event, clearly stating that "entertainment will play in a whole new way" on the said date.
There could be a phone launch somewhere down the pipeline as well, although it isn't clear yet whether LeEco will launch either of its new phones or an entirely different one on that day. We will be there in Mumbai when LeEco makes its new announcement(s). Stay tuned for more.
  • Watch out for the next blockbuster from the LeEco-Flipkart combine!

Le Eco is all set to renew partnership to set new benchmarks in smartphone market. On the back of the stupendously successful launch and sale of LeEco’s flagship killer Le 1s, the global internet technology conglomerate has now renewed its exclusive partnership with Flipkart. LeEco, formerly known as Letv, is a global pioneering internet and technology company with multiple internet ecosystems across content, devices, applications and platforms.

An agreement to this effect was signed off by Atul Jain COO Smart Electronics Business on behalf of LeEco and Flipkart. This move is in anticipation of the imminent launch of its next bestseller phone in India.

LeEco entered India with the launch of two Superphones in early 2016 - the Le 1s and Le Max. The devices were available exclusively on Flipkart, and went on to truly disrupt the smartphone market with a sale of 400,000 phones in a short time period, making LeEco the largest exclusive partner on Flipkart.
Atul Jain, COO – Smart Electronic Business, LeEco India, said, “We are extremely pleased to extend our successful  partnership with Flipkart and are confident of jointly offering   consumers an even  better  purchase experience backed by  the  full assurance of a genuine high quality product with warranty support in India.  While we aspire to cross our previous sale figures, we are equally focused on redefining the future of smart devices and continue to invest towards delivering truly compelling experiences to consumers at competitive price point along with seamless buying experience.”

Anil Goteti, VP - Business, Flipkart, said, “Le Eco's Le1s has been a great success on Flipkart. We saw massive rise in consumer interest both for the brand Le Eco and the product. We are extremely happy to take this partnership forward for the launch of the next device and are confident that together we will create new benchmarks for the online smartphone space in India. Our focus will be to continue to introduce exciting products through partnerships like these.”
With “Complete Ecosystem, Groundbreaking technologies, and Disruptive Pricing” as the guiding principle, LeEco is engaged in a myriad of businesses, spanning from Internet-based Super TV and Superphones, video production and distribution, smart devices/accessories and large-screen applications, to e-commerce and even connected super-electric cars.  The company also features one of the world's largest content libraries, comprising of movies, TV dramas, entertainment shows, sports and music, which can be conveniently viewed on LeEco products, including the Superphones, Super TVs, and in the near future, Le Autos. Breaking the barriers of industries, LeEco provides personalized products and services for an enhanced user experience at disruptive prices.

  • LeEco Le 2 : Leaks shows Antutu Benchmark score at 141 k, Leaked Images

Chinese company LeEco - formerly LeTV - maybe looking to launch more than one variant of the Le 2, come April 20. A new GFXBench listing apparently tips some highlights of one possible variant and judging by the spec sheet, the phone in question sure falls in the category of a beast.

LeEco Le 2 : Leaked Image
LeEco Le 2 : Leaked Image
As per the listing, the Le 2 variant (with model number Le X820) comes with a 5.5-inch QuadHD display with a 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU and a whopping 6 gigs of RAM. The phone comes with 64GB of internal memory.

The Le 2 (according to GFXBench) sports a 20-megapixel camera on the rear and a 7-megapixel camera on the front. While the rear camera can shoot 4K videos, the front camera can shoot 2K videos.

Previously, we came across a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820-totting Le 2 variant - tipped to be called the Le 2 Pro -- with a 5.7-inch QHD display and 4GB RAM.

It is said to sport a 21-megapixel camera on the rear along with an 8-megapixel camera on the front. The phone is backed by a 3,100mAh battery. There's also USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing purposes.

At the same time, another GFXBench listing earlier talked about another possible variant of the device - with model number X620 - that comes with a 5.5-inch FullHD display and MediaTek's MT6797T (Helio X25) deca-core processor with Mali T880 GPU and 3GB of RAM under the hood. This variant sports a 16-megapixel camera on the rear along with an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

LeEco is hosting a launch event in China on April 20 where it is expected to launch the Le 2. So far as many as three different variants of the phone have been spotted online. It would be interesting to see which of these actually make the final cut.

Another device from this Chinese company, LeTV X910 has already cleared certification via Tenaa that also features Snapdragon 820 CPU, and this model comes with 4GB RAM and 6.3 inches display. We expect LeTV Le X820 to feature a 5.5 inches or 5.7 inches 2K Display and 4GB RAM. It could be the smaller variant of LeTV X910

  • LeEco Le 2 Pro specs leak shows 4GB RAM

Just a few days ago we showed some leaked images of a device claimed to be the upcoming LeEco Le 2. Now there has been a LeEco Le 2 Pro specs leak that shows 4GB of RAM. This suggests that the L2 2 Pro could be a competitor against the likes of the Xiaomi Mi 5 and others.

Some readers may be more familiar with the Chinese manufacturer’s former name of Letv, but the company was recently re-named as LeEco. A recent arrival from this maker is the LeEco Le 1s, and some readers may also know about the LeEco Le Max. Until a few days ago we had not heard of the LeEco Le 2, and along with the leaked images we also shared some rumored specs for this handset.

Now there has been a new leak out of China about the LeEco Le 2 Pro, and some of these leaked specs (but not all) are the same that were mentioned for the Le 2. The online leak cites LeEco Le 2 Pro as having a 5.7-inch display with Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440), 4GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.

Further specs of the Le 2 Pro are said to be a 21-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel shooter at the front, and a 3100 mAh battery. The rumor points to two variants of the phone, one with a Snapdragon 820 processor and the other with a MediaTek Helio X20 processor. The leak even includes respective pricing of CNY 1,699 and CNY 1,999 for these variants.

As with all leaks we’ll stress that this should all be treated as unconfirmed at the moment, and we’ll be looking forward to the launches of the LeEco Le 2 and LeEco Le 2 Pro for the official specs and prices. We’ll certainly bring more news as we hear it, so do check back with us from time to time.
