    Clover Infotech implements Oracle solutions for Marcura Group for its global operations across UAE, India, Japan and the US.

    Mumbai, India: Clover Infotech, a comprehensive IT services provider, today announced that it has successfully implemented Oracle Fusion Financials, a financial management solution for the Marcura Group, an IT services provider for the shipping and logistics industry. This was completed within a record time frame of three months. This is also among the first large scale implementations of Oracle Fusion Financials in the global shipping and logistics space.

    Marcura Group comprises of companies that focus on providing business solutions designed to help their customers in the global maritime industry streamline processes, navigate increasingly complex regulations and mitigate risks. The group comprises of multiple global entities and offers multiple solutions with products like DA-Desk®, ProtsDirect®, CP Desk®, Martrust®, PortLog®, PortPoint®, Laytime-Desk® and Manifest-Desk®.

    After evaluating multiple Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and financial accounting solutions, the Marcura Group zeroed in on Oracle Fusion Financials because of its comprehensive nature and superior cloud capabilities. Marcura was looking for an implementation partner who could complete the multi-location implementation within three months. Clover Infotech’s expertise in a diverse set of industries as well as its consultative approach led to Marcura selecting the company as its partner of choice.

  • IBM Signs MoU to Provide Cloud Tech to Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK)

    Global technology giant IBM and the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) have signed an MoU for provision of technology platforms and services in cloud computing for academia in Telangana.

    Officials of TASK and IBM India Private Ltd., signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here on Wednesday in the presence of state Information Technology Minister K. Tarakarama Rao.

    IBM and TASK have agreed to collaborate in bringing the IBM cloud experience to the engineering colleges in the state, an official statement said.

    Faculty and students thereby, get access to the IBM cloud and an opportunity to develop their cloud skills that is in demand in the IT industry today, it added.

    The IBM launched Bluemix in 2014, growing rapidly to become the largest cloud foundry deployment in the world. The open-standards-based Bluemix platform includes over 120 tools and services spanning categories of big data, mobile, Watson, analytics, integration, DevOps, security and Internet of Things.

    Sujiv Nair, chief executive officer, TASK, said the key focus of this engagement is to make the IBM cloud available to colleges in Telangana for faculty and students to use it for practicals and project work.

    TASK is working for a collaboration platform between the government, academia and Industry to enhance skilling, research and entrepreneurship among young graduates in the state.
