LeEco Invests Rs 200 Million to Refine the Music Industry by Introducing CDLA Standard in India
LeEco, the global Internet and technology conglomerate has been at the forefront of various innovations that are shaping the future and changing the technology world. This time, with its second generation Superphones Le 2 and Le Max2 launched recently in the Indian market, LeEco is leading a revolution in the audio technology space with an investment of Rs 200 million in popularizing the pioneering CDLA standard. Patented by LeEco, Continual Digital Lossless Audio or CDLA is the world's first technology that is all set to redefine the smartphone audio technology world with a revolutionary music experience.
To catalyze this CDLA audio technology adoption, LeEco has made a handsome investment of Rs 200 million. In the first flash sale of its Superphones Le 2 and Le Max2 scheduled for June 28, the Internet technology conglomerate will be giving away a free CDLA earphone worth (price here) to all Le 2 and Le Max2 buyers.
This new technology breakthrough corresponds perfectly to the current trend where users are continually consuming audio-video content on-the-go, demanding a comprehensive and seamless experience. It is also in line with the company's commitment of providing users an enhanced audio experience on their Superphones, Le 2 and Le Max2. Also, the CDLA headphone which is the world's first, is the perfect accompaniment for users to make the most of LeEco's Membership Program that comes bundled with the two Superphones.
As part of LeEco's partnerships with, Eros Now and YuppTV and Hungama Music, Le 2 and Le Max2 users have an access to a content library of 2000+ movies and 3000+ hours of curated shows, 150+ live TV channels and very soon to 1.9 million songs with lossless audio. The Superphones with a one-year LeEco Supertainment program will allow users to enjoy:
- 5TB clouds drive space

All these and more that users will get as part of the membership program, surely make for an irresistible deal for users.
Additionally, with the new CDLA music standard, spearheaded by Le 2 and Le Max2, LeEco is all set to create new standards in the audio industry. LeEco is the only player globally and in India to have replaced the 3.5mm headphone port with the world's first lossless audio Type-C interface, leading an audio revolution that has otherwise remained stagnant for decades.
LeEco has made significant investments in R&D for providing next-generation tools and solutions that offer a better user experience for its users. Most phones use a 3.5 mm audio jack, they employ the Hi-Fi digital-audio reproduction, which result in a loss of sound. CDLA will also put an end to the isolation due to poor transport medium and chaotic sound field and greatly reduces the cost for the user to enjoy high quality music.
Along with the pioneering CDLA technology, both Le 2 and Le Max2 come packed with powerful features and cutting-edge design because of which the Superphones have already made a mark for themselves in the industry. Powered by Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 820 processor Le Max2, comes with a 5.7-inch display and runs at a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Flaunting its metal unibody design, it comes packed with a 21MP primary camera which features OIS for blur-free photos and advanced PDAF technology for ultra-fast focusing alongside a Dual-LED (Dual Tone) flash. The Le Max2 also carries an 8MP front camera for selfie lovers.
Le 2 is backed by Qualcomm ® SnapdragonTM 652 processor and offers a 5.5-inch full HD display, making it a delight for users. It packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage and comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.
It is fair to say that both the Superphones promise to deliver great performance with their powerful processer, fantastic display, world's first 'revolutionary' CDLA standard and content ecosystem.
The much-awaited first flash sale of Le 2 and Le Max2 is scheduled for June 28th, registrations for which are underway on LeMall and Flipkart.
Flash sale for Le 2 will commence tomorrow (June 28) at 12 noon, registrations for which will close tomorrow at 11 AM. For Le Max2, registrations are open until 1PM tomorrow and this will be followed by its flash sale at 2PM. The clock is ticking and you haven't registered yet, here's your last chance.

LeEco's Le2 - An Impressive Challenger to Samsung Galaxy J7 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
It's a virtual war in India's burgeoning smartphone market especially in the mid-segment category, where most smartphone manufacturers are seeing growth coming from. A research report from Cyber Media Research (CMR), suggests that for the first time in India, the average selling price of smartphones rose 25% year-on-year, with the mid-range category, 10-15k becoming more popular to beat the budget category, 6-8k. This has resulted in consumers being swamped with options, leaving them spoilt for choices but also bewildered and confused at the same time.
LeEco's recently launched Superphone Le 2 has taken the sub-15k category by storm. Owing to its powerful processor, best-in-class design and revolutionary CDLA technology which has taken audio experience in smartphones to a whole new level, Le 2 is a tough competitor to its peers such as Samsung Galaxy J7 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
From a consumer standpoint, it is now more important than ever that a smartphone exceeds all expectations across categories - display, camera quality, storage capacity and aesthetics among others. And Le 2 ticks all boxes here which makes it a headliner among smartphones in this category as per technology experts.
And here's what makes this all possible -
Processor: Powerful and delivers a seamless performance
Le 2's performance is considerably enhanced from the earlier models and complementing its 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage is the powerful Octa-Core Qualcomm ® Snapdragon ™ 652, the fastest processor in this price segment. On the other hand, Redmi Note 3 is powered by 1.4GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 and comes with 2GB RAM and packs 16GB of internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy J7 is backed by 1.5GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 7580 processor and comes with 1.5GB RAM and packs 16GB internal storage. With these specifications, Le 2 promises to deliver an unmatched experience to users without any issues of their smartphone lagging.
Le 2 clearly wins hands down when one looks at its processor and storage capacity, making multi-tasking a delight for users!
Display: Big and Bright
One of the most important aspects that users consider when deciding on a smartphone is the display quality it offers, that majorly dictates how their overall experience with the phone will be.
LeEco's Le 2 flaunts a 5.5 inch Full HD display and comes with an in-cell display screen which is usually featured with flagship phones.
The screen's blue light filter helps reduce eye fatigue, while at the same time; the in-cell screen allows devices to be thinner and lighter.
Here again, Le 2 stands out with its amazing display, making viewing experience for users an excellent one!
Additionally, Le 2 has an edge with its content proposition and flaunts the world's first CDLA technology, patented by LeEco that gives users benefits that no one smartphone offers! Le 2 comes bundled with one year LeEco Membership that gives users access to big ticket international live concerts, exclusive live streaming of major entertainment events and music concerts worldwide among other benefits.
Le 2 also incorporates the world's first CDLA Standard that enables end-to-end lossless digital music transmission. The Superphone adds a whole new dimension to the future of smartphones by taking a leap into the next big thing in audio technology - Continual Lossless Digital Audio (CLDA) technology that has made the traditional 3.5 mm audio jack redundant.

Le Max2 is a phone that really can caught your eye in seconds, not only Le Max2 is great phone for the price, but it brings specs and performance comparable to the latest-and-greatest Android flagships from Samsung, LG, and others.
| Le Max 2 : Review |
The phone runs on the Android operating system, which is currently the most popular platform on the market. The Le Max 2 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow which is the newest Android version available. EUI 5.6, by LeEco, runs on top of Android on this device, offering a customized experience.
Le Max2 inexplicably forgoes a 3.5mm headphone jack despite having plenty of room for one. This is clearly an attempt to beat Apple to the punch, but I just can’t see how the target audience of LeEco’s newest phones would be happy with this move. LeEco says the phones have the “world’s first Type-C audio connector” but, as I mentioned before, beating Apple isn’t very beneficial if your audience isn’t going to appreciate the move.

Design
While using, the first glance of Le Max 2 for us was unexplainable. Seriously, a premium unibody metal built using aluminum perfectly packed in the stunning package. Only two thin edges above and below on the back are made of plastic in order to ensure good reception. But, they are appealing and hardly distinguishable from the metal. Moreover, the metal frame is sanded on the edges further explicating its beauty. Sadly, the back can not be opened, thus making the battery non-removable.

Global internet and ecosystem conglomerate LeEco is riding high on its ambitious globalization plans. The company has taken the momentous step towards promoting economic and cultural ties between China and Russia.
LeEco signed a quadripartite memorandum with Institute of Internet Development (IID), Russian Export Center and JSC Digital Television to export Russian media content to China and other markets and build Le Ecosystem in Russia.
With the introduction of its unique vertically integrated ecosystem in Russia, LeEco will provide Russian users an all-new experience delivered through the Internet, smart devices, smart applications and cloud. For its foray into the Russian market, LeEco plans to invest over USD 100 million.
As the world's fastest-growing Internet ecosystem company over the past year, LeEco plans to set up its Russia office in the summer of 2016 which would be responsible for the building of Le Ecosystem in Russia.
In line with its efforts of making a strong mark for itself globally, with the signing of the memorandum LeEco will synergistically combine its powerful business ecosystem and Russia's rich media content resources to expand in the Russia market and further reinforce LeEco's global competitiveness.
The signing of the MoU was done in the presence of LeEco Co-Founder and Vice Chairman, Liu Hong and IID Chairman, Herman Klimenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin's special adviser on Internet-related affairs.
Liu Hong, together with Li Hui, also attended the signing ceremony for Chinese-Russia strategic movie cooperation and the ceremony for the appointment of Victor Xu, CEO of LeEco Russia and Eastern Europe, as Advisor to the General Office of the President of Russia.
The memorandum will provide an action framework for the promotion of Russian movies, TV dramas, animations and other video products in China and other markets. In addition to providing a globally accessible platform for the distribution of Russian content, LeEco will assist Russian partners in content localization such as translation, licensing and authorization in China and other countries.
India has played a key role in scripting LeEco's global success story, with trend setting products and record-breaking sales. With the release of the Le 1s and Le Max earlier this year, followed by the launch of the first 'Made for India' superphone, Le 1s Eco, the company has successfully sold an astounding number of 500,000 superphones in 100 days, making it a record of sorts for a new entrant in a fiercely competitive smartphone market in India.
