  • Is iPhone SE really better than the iPhone 6S?

Apple launched the new iPhone SE on March 21st 2016. We all know apple has always been little secretive about their new flagship. But now when we have seen the new iPhone for months here is an honest comparison, iPhone SE really better than iPhone 6s?

    iPhone 6S VS iPhone SE
There are people who did not upgrade to the new 6 or the 6+ just because they were in the love with the stylish and elegant look that iPhone 5 and 5S gave us. Now when the apple came with new SE people finally upgraded.  Let us now look at the specs of the SE and as well as the 6S.

    Quick specs

    iPhone 6s specs:-
    • Display: 4.7-inch display with a 1334x750-pixel resolution at 326 pixels per inch ppi; 1400 to 1 contrast ratio; Dual-domain pixels for wide viewing angles
    • Dimensions: 138.3mm x 67.1mm x 7.1mm
    • Weight: 143 grams
    • Storage: 16, 64, or 128GB
    • Processors: A9 chip with 64-bit architecture and M9 motion coprocessor
    • Front camera: FaceTime HD camera. 5 MP photos and 720p HD video.
    • Rear camera: iSight camera. 12 MP photos. ƒ/2.2 aperture. 1080p video. True Tone flash.
    • Battery: 1715 mAh. Up to 12 hours battery life mixed usage
    • Touch ID: yes (2nd generation)
    • NFC: yes
    iPhone SE & iPhone 6s : Overview
    iPhone SE specs:-
    • Display: 4-inch Retina HD display with 1136x640 resolution at 326 pixels per inch (ppi); 800 to 1 contrast ratio
    • Dimensions: 123.8mm x 58.6 mm x 7.6 mm
    • Weight: 113 grams
    • Storage: 16 or 64GB
    • Processors: A9 chip with 64-bit architecture and M9 motion coprocessor
    • Front camera: FaceTime camera. 1.2 MP photos and 720p HD video.
    • Rear camera: iSight camera. 12 MP photos. ƒ/2.2 aperture. 1080p video. True Tone flash.
    • Battery: 1642 mAh. Up to 12 hours battery life mixed usage
    • Touch ID: yes (1st generation)
    • NFC: yes
    Display and Design
iPhone SE has a 4inch display with 1136x640 resolution but as compared to 6s it: 4.7-inch display with a 1334x750-pixel resolution. According to resolution does not matter because se has a smaller screen according to which the resolution is perfect and 6S has a larger screen so it needs more of resolution for a perfect UI and display experience.

One thing the new SE is lacking of is 3D touch. What I have noticed is a person who is not that tech savvy and has iPhone 6S is not using 3D touch. If you are a person who does not cares about 3D touch iPhone SE is a better option.

    Camera
The iPhone 6S takes things up a notch in the camera department offering a 12-megapixel rear snapper with 1.22µm pixels and a f/2.2 aperture. Video recording capabilities increase to 4K and the True Tone flash remains intact. The front camera also sees a bump to 5-megapixels and while the aperture remains at f/2.2, it comes with a Retina flash.

The iPhone SE opts for the same 12-megapixel rear sensor as the iPhone 6S, meaning it is capable of 4K video recording and Live Photos. It also means you get a fantastic camera in your pocket and it's a big leap from the iPhone 5S.

There is a 1.2-megapixel front camera with an aperture of f/2.4 however, so it doesn't take from the iPhone 6S here, aside from also offering a Retina flash. The lower resolution is evident in the performance, with images a little soft and lacking in detail.
    Hardware and Processing
Both iPhone SE and 6S holds Apple’s 64bit A9 processor, M9 motion co-processor and 2GB RAM. It’s just that apple has stuffed power of 6S in a smaller 4 inch smart phone. The main problem that may incur is as the new SE is a small 4 inch device with power and processor of 6S, it may heat up pretty fast as compared to 6S.

    Software
Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S both runs on iOS 9, as so does the iPhone SE. Ultimately, the iPhone SE offers almost the same experience as the iPhone 6 but with the addition of Live Photos. The one feature missing is the double-tap function that allows the top of the screen to be accessible with your thumb but as it is smaller, it's not really necessary.

    Cost and Conclusion

iPhone 6s is available for 47,499rs and iPhone SE is available for 37,999.
If you are budgeted up to 40k you can get iPhone SE with the power of iPhone 6S but if you can buy 6S or are using 6S. There is no point of changing to iPhone SE until and unless you are a fan of the old apple look.

Comment what do you think which one is better? Your review’s our important for us. So that we can easily share user experience among other reader’s.

Here's everything you need to know about the lease programme offered by Apple partners in India:
Q1 What is the iPhone lease programme?
    A) Apple's lease programme let you use an iPhone for a fixed monthly payment for 2 years. You get to keep the iPhone for the duration of the lease, but you don't own the phone, similar to how car leasing works.
Q2 Who can sign up for the lease?
    A) The lease programme is available only for corporate entities - in other words, companies or registered business. It is expected that there's no criteria on the size of the corporate, you just need to commit to a minimum number of phones that you will lease.
Q3 What is the minimum number of devices that I need to lease?
    A) Based on discussion with distributors, you need to lease a minimum of 20 iPhone units as part of this programme.
Q4 What is the lease duration?
    A) The lease is available for 12, 18, or 24 months.
Q5 What is the monthly amount I need to pay to get an iPhone?
    A) It varies based on the iPhone model and lease duration. See all plans below:

    A) There's no down payment and you don't need to pay a deposit or security.

Q9 What if the iPhone is damaged during the lease period?
    A) Standard Apple warranty terms apply. If the damage is covered under Apple's warranty programme, then you will be given a replacement device, but if there's some physical damage, such as a damaged screen, you will need to pay for the cost of repairs/ replacement.

    A) No, the programme is only for corporate entities. Talk to your company's HR/ admin/ IT department, and ask them to sign up for this programme to avail benefits.
Q11 I am an individual ready to lease 20 phones for my family. Can I do that under this programme?
    A) If you run a business, your company should be able to lease these phones, but you can't do it as an individual.
Q12 Does the lease programme extend to other Apple products as well?
    A) Yes, you can get iPads and even MacBooks on a corporate lease, under similar terms - the monthly amounts will vary.
Q13 I went to an Apple/ Airtel/ Vodafone/ Croma/ other store, and they are clueless about this programme. What do I do?
    A) The lease programme is offered via select Apple partners, and not all retail outlets may be aware of the details.
Q14 How do I sign up for the programme/ find out more details?
    A) Your best bet is to write to iphonecorporate@icloud.com with details of your organisation - an Apple partner will get in touch with you.
