The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) announced that its next release, coming late 2016 to early 2017, will be called Bluetooth 5 and will include significantly increased range, speed, and broadcast messaging capacity. Extending range will deliver robust, reliable Internet of Things (IoT) connections that make full-home and building and outdoor use cases a reality. Higher speeds will send data faster and optimize responsiveness. Increasing broadcast capacity will propel the next generation of “connectionless” services like beacons and location-relevant information and navigation. These Bluetooth advancements open up more possibilities and enable SIG companies – now at an all-time high of 30,000 member companies – to build an accessible, interoperable IoT.
“Bluetooth 5 will transform the way people experience the IoT by making it something that happens simply and seamlessly around them,” said Mark Powell, executive director of the Bluetooth SIG. “Increasing operation range will enable connections to IoT devices that extend far beyond the walls of a typical home, while increasing speed supports faster data transfers and software updates for devices. And now with the ability to broadcast a much richer set of information, Bluetooth 5 will make beacons, location awareness, and other connectionless services an even more relevant part of an effortless and seamless IoT experience”
Bluetooth 5, projected for release in late 2016 to early 2017, will quadruple range and double speed of low energy connections while increasing the capacity of connectionless data broadcasts by 800 percent. It achieves all this alongside its industry-leading power performance. With the major boost in broadcast messaging capacity, the data being transferred will be richer, more intelligent. This will redefine the way Bluetooth devices transmit information, moving away from the app-paired-to-device model to a connectionless IoT where there is less need to download an app or connect the app to a device.
More than 371 million Bluetooth enabled beacons are projected to ship by 2020, according to Patrick Connolly, Principal Analyst at ABI Research. With eight times the broadcast messaging capacity, Bluetooth 5 will further propel the adoption and deployment of beacons and location-based services in the home automation, enterprise, and industrial markets. In scenarios where contextual awareness like navigation and pin-point location are crucial – such as hassle-free airport navigation experiences, asset tracking of warehouse inventory, emergency response, even smart city infrastructure that helps the visually impaired be more mobile – Bluetooth 5 will send custom information people actually find useful in that moment without connection and application barriers.
Added Powell, “Today, there are 8.2 billion Bluetooth products in use, and the enhancements in Bluetooth 5 and planned future Bluetooth technical advancements mean that Bluetooth will be in more than one-third of all installed IoT devices by 2020. The drive and innovation of Bluetooth will ensure our technology continues to be the IoT solution of choice for all developers. ”
The addition of the Bluetooth SIG’s 30,000th member company shows that more and more companies are choosing Bluetooth as both the technology and the organization that will help them develop IoT products and services with the best consumer experiences and help bring those products and services to market faster and more successfully. Membership has grown over 11 percent since the end of 2015, now reaching a record-high with its 30,000th member, Blossom Group. The startup, which is building infrasound and low-frequency noise relaxation products, is just the latest validation that companies of all sizes and verticals are joining the SIG because the organization is working in collaboration with its members to advance the technology and make the world smarter, safer, better, and more enjoyable.
“Implementing Bluetooth as our wireless technology and joining the SIG organization was the obvious choice to ensure our products’ success,” said Luke Sanger, CEO and co-founder of Blossom Group. “Bluetooth has the ubiquity of a trusted wireless communication platform and a great history of supporting market trends and working with developers and members to produce ground-breaking products and applications. We know Bluetooth will stay ahead of the game by working with its members and embracing technological advancements – from power efficiency to IoT connectivity – to push the limits of innovation.”

The social network collects data on roughly 1.6 billion Facebook users, which is then used to determine behavioural patterns like voting habits, relationship status and effects of certain types of content on people, wsj.com reported on Tuesday. Facebook published a psychological study involving 700,000 persons in 2014 that sparked controversy about the company's ethics. Because "the issues of how to deal with research in an industry setting aren't unique to Facebook," the company decided to release more details, said Molly Jackman, Facebook's public-policy research manager and co-author of the 2014 study. To assess the ethical impact of its research efforts, Facebook has set up a five-person panel that includes experts in law and ethics.
If a manager determines that a research project deals with sensitive topics such as mental health, the study gets a detailed review by the group to weigh risks and benefits, as well as to consider whether it is in line with consumers' expectations of how their information is stored, wsj.com said. Managers have been authorised to simply approve proposals that th

According to the report, as of March 2016, iPad 2 had 17% market share, iPad 3 held 9% and iPad mini's (first-generation) share stood at 15%.
At WWDC 2016, Apple announced that the following devices will be compatible with iOS 10: iPad 4th gen, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPod touch 6th gen, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone SE, iPhone 6/6 Plus and iPhone 6s / 6s Plus.
Claiming to be Apple's "biggest iOS release ever", the iOS 10 now has a new lock screen with richer notifications, quick interaction options with apps, and 'raise to wake' feature. Users can directly jump inside apps and access more functions right from notification alerts. They can reply to text messages, view live status update and even clear all app notifications with one tap.
Once Apple releases the latest version of its mobile operating system, iOS 10, millions of iPads will become obsolete.
Facebook, world's largest social networking platform, added 1 more exciting feature to maintain its position. Facebook users can now leave videos as comments on posts and status updates.
Video can be uploaded by selecting the camera icon underneath a string of replies previously used only to add a photo. Users will now be able to upload their own video clip on Facebook's iOS and Android app, as well as on its regular site.
The feature was prototyped in a single day as part of the company's 50th Hackathon early this year, but was honed over the past few months, Facebook engineer Bob Baldwin explaining that it was "no small feat to add support across interfaces and within two heavy traffic services, like comments and videos."
The increased video views have helped drive Facebook's shares up, as features like the new video upload ensure that moving images are visible at every level of its network.
The social network has increasingly focused on adding new features over past few years like: Add 360 degree photo to Facebook newsfeed, Set video as profile pic, Calling Uber, Usernames & Codes.
GIFs are quickly becoming the best way to have a conversation on the internet. Emoji are inscrutable. Voice is for suckers. Plain text is just boring. But, GIFs convey everything. WhatsApp apparently knows this, so there is an update in the works that will automatically display and play GIFs that you paste into a conversation.
The new feature was outed by @WABetaInfo, a Twitter account that keeps tracks of changes in the WhatsApp beta updates. According to the account, version 2.16.7.1 of the WhatsApp will embed GIFs from links into conversations and autoplay them as well. However, supposedly it only works with GIF links. If you try to share a GIF image directly from your device, it won't play.
Additionally, you'll be able to convert a GIF to a simple image, because there's nothing better than a GIF that doesn't animate. That is strange.
WhatsApp has not yet announced GIF support but as per rumours, the GIF support will soon roll out to its Android app as well. Along with this, the company is also working on rolling out video calling feature in order to take on the likes of Skype .
Recently, WhatsApp's competitors like Facebook Messenger and Viber also rolled out GIF support.
For those planning to go to Olympic games in Rio this August, make note that Visa will be the only card accepted at official venues. A pretty sweet deal for the payment provider. The company is using the event to introduce a new ring that will let people pay with a wave of their hand: No phone, wallet or even battery needed.
The unnamed band is pretty simple in design. Band's interior contains a secure microchip from Gemalto and an embedded antenna; the exterior is simply a black or white ceramic loop. It also won't be custom-fitted but, with 20 sizes available during its trial run, most testers should be able to find a good match.
That initial group includes employees and partners, but most notably the 45 athletes sponsored by the payment provider, including swimmer Missy Franklin and fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad. It was discussions with those Olympians that inspired the creation of the payment ring; wallets and standard wearables can be a real annoyance when you're constantly changing in and out of uniform.
Decathlete Ashton Eaton specifically told Visa he wanted something he could just integrate into his daily routine and forget about. So the ring was designed taking concept from him. Ring is water resistant to 50 meters and never need charging. Instead, the ring draws a tiny bit of power from the payment terminal just enough to enable the transaction.

Rings have an annoying tendency to go missing, but Visa prepared for that situation too. The payment band can be deactivated from a smartphone, and thieves who find one won't be able to get anything useful out of it thanks to tokenization. That means sensitive data is replaced by a digital identifier that can be used to process payments, but doesn't actually contain any personal information.
At this point the ring is merely a prototype and won't be available to the general public in time for Rio. The ring works best when the full 'O' of it is facing toward the terminal; if it's held at a 90-degree position above the keypad, as it would be when you hold your palm flat, the reader doesn't pick it up.

To give decade old social networking site 'Facebook' a new look, so that its user do not get bor of it, Facebook is introducing four big changes to user profiles. These changes are expected to make Facebook more visually stimulating and addicting.
Let’s get to know about each new feature individually:
1. Profile Videos
Facebook has already rolled out this feature, according to this users will be able to make 7 seconds long video as their profile pic. This feature was rolled out for iOS users earlier now this is also available for android version 77.0.0
We can simply tap the record button and can shoot 7 seconds long video with sound. The looping video will auto-play without sound (unless clicked) on your profile. We can also set thumbnail of video as our profile pic. Facebook for iOS also lets you mute the sound of profile videos, the option for which you'll find when trimming your video. With Android, you are stuck with sound for profile videos.
2. Featured Photos
The next biggest feature is now we will be able select five Featured Photos. These photos will appear at the top of our profile. This is designed so that before sending friend request users will be able get a better clue to your identity. They’re not your main profile pic, but they’ll be used to judge you.
3. Temporary Profile Pics
This feature let you select a profile pic, but have yours revert to your old pic after a set number of hours, days, or weeks. It’s useful for promoting a cause, like the 26 million people who set their profile pic rainbow in support of the right to gay marriage.
4. Visibility Controls And Bio
Now we will be able to able to describe ourself in words with a new 100-character Bio field. This feature is added so that based on bio people can decide if they want to be your friend or not. This feature will appear at the top of our profile.
The project, known as OpenZika, employs a global team of scientists who will perform "virtual" experiments in a search of treatments for the fast-spreading virus that the World Health Organization has declared a global public health emergency.

OpenZika will screen current drugs and millions of drug-like compounds from existing databases against models of Zika protein structures (and also against structures of proteins from related viruses, including West Nile Virus and Dengue). These computational results will be shared quickly with the research community and general public, with compounds showing the most promise then tested in laboratory settings.
"Instead of having to wait a number of years, even decades potentially, to test all these compounds in order to find a few that could form the basis of antiviral drugs to cure Zika, we will perform these initial tests in a matter of months, just by using idle computing power that would otherwise go to waste," says Alex Perryman, a research teaching specialist at Rutgers' New Jersey Medical School, in Professor Joel Freundlich's lab. Perryman was selected as co-principal investigator of the OpenZika project, while Freundlich serves as a key consultant.
IBM created World Community Grid in 2004 to address researchers' critical need for supercomputing power. Partially hosted on IBM's SoftLayer cloud technology, World Community Grid provides massive amounts of supercomputing power to scientists for free by harnessing the unused computing power of volunteers' computers and Android devices.
IBM and the scientific team are seeking volunteers with a computer or Android device to join the OpenZika project. The volunteers, who can sign up on the World Community Grid website, need not have a particular expertise. Nor are there financial obligations or time commitments. All participants need to do is run an app on their Windows, Mac, Linux or Android devices that automatically performs virtual experiments whenever their machines are idle.
More than three million computers and mobile devices used by nearly 750,000 people and 470 institutions across 80 countries have combined to create World Community Grid, which makes it one of the largest supercomputers on the planet. These volunteers have contributed supercomputing power for more than two dozen World Community Grid projects over the past 11 years, at an estimated value of more than $500 million.
Rutgers' Perryman has had deep experience working with IBM's World Community Grid. From 2007 to 2013, he managed and performed the day-to-day duties required for FightAIDS@Home, the first biomedical computing project on World Community Grid. In 2011, Perryman designed, developed and ran the grid's Global Online Fight Against Malaria (GO FAM) project, which has resulted in identifying promising tool compounds for treating malaria and drug-resistant tuberculosis.
In less than two years, GO FAM volunteers on the grid performed more than a billion docking jobs, which, Perryman estimates, would have taken at least 100 years using the computer capacity found at most universities. The Freundlich lab has leveraged GO FAM data against tuberculosis drug targets, along with novel machine learning techniques they have developed, to seed novel therapeutic strategies.

It says Daily Progress - 12 Villages Electrified today.
Whoa, Seriously, I was retrospecting, What used to be our country's governance 2 years ago. People hardly knew who was the Power Minister then and what ministries were doing. We only start hearing their names once if any scam was unearthed with elegant figures like 8000 Crores, 1.76 lakh crores etc.
But today, we see such changes on ground level where every citizen has a privilege to know what's going on in the country with real-time information. May it be a power ministry or a tweet to Sushma Swaraj or Suresh Prabhu. Everything is changed. There is an order now in governance.
I never thought our government would become this 'Accountable' and 'Transparent' within a less span of two years.
The Story of GARV:
It's been 68 years since Independence. Still there are 18,452 unelectrified villages(As of March 2015) mostly in Odisha, Bihar, Assam, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh,UP which never saw electricity since it was first discovered. PMO handed over this responsibility to his Power Minsitry and has set a target to complete the electrification by March 2017.

WhatsApp will soon roll out video calling feature for beta testers on latest v2.16.80 for Android devices. The APK file, which is ready for download from APK Mirror as well, has the new feature live on it.
The latest beta for Android shows an option to video call whenever you try to call someone. Unfortunately, as of now it seems the feature is not enabled to all users, with some getting the 'Video Calling is unavailable at this time' error message, however, some other users are reporting using it.
The feature is currently in testing phase then, and it probably won't be too long before we see it being enabled for everyone across platforms.

For starters, WhatsApp has close to 1 billion monthly active users, claims to be totally end-to-end encrypted and we’re assuming that given their obsession for privacy, they will extend the same to their video-calling feature. It also remains to be seen how they will optimise video-calling on WhatsApp given that the app is so popular in India where network connectivity remains patchy. Also will video-calling be supported on WhatsApp groups is another big question.
We are expecting next OnePlus 3 device in next couple of week, alleged OnePlus 3 smartphone leaked two times recently, and even though the design seemed a bit unrealistic at first, the device has leaked yet again, read on.

| OnePlus 3 : Leaked images |
We can easily spot that this OnePlus 3 looks like hybrid between the HTC One M9 and Meizu PRO 5, back side of OnePlus is similar to HTC’s 2015 flagship, while the front side looks like one of Meizu PRO 5.Home key is just below display, though it is still not clear that it is physical button, or just a capacitive one. Either way, chances are that this button is not only a home key, but also a fingerprint scanner.

The Type-C USB port is placed on the bottom of the phone, along with the loudspeaker, and the 3.5mm headphone jack. It seems like this device sports a single LED flash below the rear-facing camera sensor, and the antenna lines are also quite visible on the phone’s back side. According to various rumors, the OnePlus 3 will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, and it will ship in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.

The 4GB RAM model will come with 32GB of internal storage, while the 6GB RAM variant is said to ship with 64GB of native storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor will probably fuel this smartphone, and a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera has been mentioned a number of times now as well. The 8-megapixel snapper will be placed on the front side of this phone, and a 3,500mAh battery will be included as well. Speaking of which, OnePlus has recently trademarked ‘Dash Charge’, and it sure seems like the company is getting ready to release their very own fast charging solution.

Technology star Google has surfaced with its latest Android keyboard v.50 update. It is assumed to be biggest keyboard update ever. It will definitely change our way of typing. Many changes are made in keyboard this time. As in past long time, no significant change had been made in it. New update is currently available on Play Store.
Significant change in the design of keyboard has been made. The Holo White and Blue themes which have been around since KitKat series have been removed. Now, user can add border between the keys for easier typing operations. The emoji button has been shifted to the special character menu.
The alt/number layout also has new buttons for quick access to the numpad and emoji keyboard now. They're on either side of the space bar.

Best functionality added in new update is to allow user to type using one hand only. The one-handed keyboard can be enabled by long pressing the comma (,). The handedness of the keyboard can be changed with the arrow button. This setting can also be changed from settings. Dynamic preview toggle has been removed in new update.
In new version a new feature, dubbed gesture cursor control, is integrated. This feature allows the cursor to be moved by swiping left or right across the spacebar key.
Now, user will be able to delete 1 complete word at one shot, instead of deleting it character by character, just by sliding left from the delete key. Go slowly and words will be highlighted one at a time. Let go, and they're gone.
The other big change is in the gesture typing menu. Now user will see dynamic suggestions in the suggestion bar instead of floating along with your finger.
Anything that pops up in the suggestion bar (gesture or not) can be long-pressed and dragged to a trash can (it appears above the keyboard) if you want to remove it.
Google recently introduced a new feature known as " Tap to Translate " earlir today for Google Translate app. This updated feature now allows you to translate language inside of any other android apps after you've Selected text in a differnt language,a little Translate icon will appear which is very similar to Facebook's chat heads — through which you can read the translated text. This pop up will also allow to revert text from your first language back into the other language.
This new feature for sure will save lots of time and effort, whether they frequently need to translate text or just do so on occasion. According to Google will work with app, ie chat app, a browser, or so on, so long as you can highlight the text. Microsoft added basically the same exact feature to its Android translation app last month, but it placed the translate option in the cut / copy / paste menu, which is maybe a bit less convenient than a giant bubble (or maybe less annoying, depending on how you look at it).
Google is bringing a couple of other updates to Google Translate today, too. An offline mode is rolling out on iOS, with each offline language only requiring a small 25MB of space.
Microsoft on the first anniversary of Windows 10 i.e. July 29th is planning to remove free upgrade option of Window 10 from Window 7 and Window 8.1 enabled devices.
Upgrade remains free for user for complete 1 year. Upgrade was roll out in market previous year on July 29th free of cost. Now, Microsoft has reminded everyone that free promotion for Window 10 is finishing soon.

In an announcement, Yusuf Mehdi, head of Microsoft's Windows and devices marketing efforts said, "Time is running out, The free upgrade offer will end on July 29th and we want to make sure you don’t miss out." After July 29th, Microsoft says you'll need to purchase a full version of Windows 10 Home for $119 or get Windows 10 on a new machine.
Windows 10 is already running on 300 million machines right now and the company is expecting an ambitious target of 1 billion machines running on Windows 10 by next year.
If you still happen to be running on Windows 7 or 8 and have been thinking of making the jump to 10, you should make your decision fast.
iOS has been one of the best user experience that smartphone industry has provided to users. Apple is very particular about its updates. As soon as the jailbreak industry starts focusing to jailbreak the new iOS version Apple is out with another IOS version with more features and bug fixes. But people jailbreak is not necessary to improve your IOS experience here are some tips and tricks.

Low power mode
One of the best feature that I love of IOS 9 is LOW POWER MODE if you aren’t satisfied with the battery backup of your iphone LOW POWER MODE will work as a life savior for you. Basically what it does is allow you to temporarily reduce power consumption by closing things like background app refreshment back ground app activities some visual effects are turned off. This feature saves lot of battery and that is what people want lots of battery you may have seen people carrying power banks with there iphone trust me people if you are at IOS9 you don’t need it any more.
Reduce motion
Lot of people feel the animation speed is slow and apple needs to speed it up. so here is what apple did now you have a feature that you can access in accessibility menu in general settings by turning this feature on it reduces the amount of animation on your iphone and looks like the phone is acting more faster than earlier . It may also save some battery for you.
Search bar in setting
The new update has brought you search bar in the setting so that you can quickly access the settings that you need to change all you have to do is go to settings and swipe down your finger and you will find a search bar.
Back to app
Back to app feature so basically what it does is suppose you are in WHATSAPP and having a pretty good time chatting with your friends suddenly you get a FACEBOOK notification and you directly click on the notification and switch to FACEBOOK now when you are done with FACEBOOK you will get a option to directly switch back to WHATSAPP where you have left on the top left corner of your screen this save a lot of time and you don’t have to go to your spring board again to switch back.
Swipe to dismiss and thumbnails in photos app
So you are in the photos app you just accidently clicked on the photo you dint wanna open so rather than clicking on the back button what you can do is swipe down your finger from up to down this will close the photo. The thumb nail view is also one of the great update in photos app you have a thumbnail view of other photos to which you can switch directly without closing the present photo.
Ambient light
Basically if you put your phone facing down the phone will not light up when you get a notification because the phone knows no body is looking at the screen. This feature also helps in saving battery life.
Quick reply
Whenever you get a notification you can swipe down with your finger on the notification and quickly reply without opening the app. This may save a lot of time.
6 digit passcode
Must needed and important feature that I almost forgot to tell you guys. Now you can have 6 digit passcode rather than 4 digit all you have to do is go to settings then go to passcode click on the passcode option and then select 6 digit.
Hope these details may help to improve your IOS experience.Do you know any trick that you want to share with us, comment that in section dwn below..

The successor to OnePlus' last year's OP2 smartphone has been spotted on AnTuTu last month , revealing some of its key specs. The listing revealed that the OnePlus 3 will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset and sports a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution display. Here is Everything we know about One Plus 3 till now.
Leaks indicate OnePlus 3 to have 4GB RAM . In addition, it also reveals that OnePlus 3 will have SD820 chipset, 16MP/8MP camera combo, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The display resolution is full HD and the size of screen is 5-inch, which is less than the 5.5-inch size that was being rumored earlier.
Also there is rumored to be another variant of OnePlus that feature 6 GB of RAM and named as One Plus 3 pro.
Coming back to the amount of RAM, while it's entirely possible for benchmarks to get things wrong, there could also be a possibility that the models 'RAIN RAIN A3000' and 'Rain A3000' are actually two different variants.

YouTube have refreshed home screen for its app it also updated recommendation system, now YouTube mobile app have bigger images(Thumbnail) and very smart recommendations based on “deep neural network” technology.
YouTube is launching a redesigned home tab for its mobile apps — touting its “clean and simple” format — along with an improved recommendation engine, in a bid to spur smartphone users to watch even more videos. The new design, available for the YouTube app on iOS and Android, features large, high-resolution images to make it easier for users to identify videos they want to watch, and a prominent icon highlights the creator for every video.
Youtube app kind of cluttered home screen for quite some time. In fact, many users steered away from the home screen as soon as possible, going directly to the search bar or their subscribed lists. Now, however, YouTube is taking some design cues from the likes of Instagram to make their home screen far cleaner and more enjoyable.
Gone are the cramped videos splattered across the screen like a dropped shoebox filled with polaroids. Instead, suggested videos take up the entire width of the screen with only about two being visible at once. This friendlier look encourages scrolling and makes the app feel slicker and tidier all around. The update is live now, so check your app and see if it’s hit your device yet.
That’s not all this update brings to the table. The devs have also toyed with the algorithms for recommending videos, meaning the videos you see on your home screen are more relevant and personalized than before. These alterations make use of deep neural network technology, so the app will continue to learn your preferences and habits to deliver you content you’ve never seen but are sure to enjoy. The company claims that users who have had test versions of this update have spent more time watching new videos from the creators they subscribe to.
According to YouTube, the video service adds a few tweaks every week to improve its recommendation engine. In the new versions of the app, the “shelves” that grouped similar videos together have been replaced with a single ranked list.
