When Bagsy began in June 2015, the original three partners operated the e-commerce startup from a playroom in one of their homes onLookout Mountain, Tenn. Within four months of launching, they began looking for larger space and moved into a 2000 square foot space in Chattanooga. Six months later, they moved again due to space constraints and doubled the storage. Bagsy now resides in the INCubator, a 127,000 square foot startup facility located in the Hamilton County Business Development Center in downtown Chattanooga.
So, what's the process? Simply signup online at ShopBagsy.com, and request a free Bagsy Consignment bag. Fill the bag with your clean, good condition, gently used children's clothes and give the sealed bag to your postman. Bagsy covers the return shipping and takes care of the rest: pricing, photographing, and listing your items online. When an item sells, the seller gets 50% of the sale price. It's left up to the seller whether they cash out via PayPal or use the funds as Bagsy credit.
For shoppers, Bagsy provides a well-curated selection of classic children's clothing.
