Apple iPhone 7 won’t see major design changes, instead it will be the iPhone 8 in 2017 that comes in a new design, points out a Wall Street Analysts report by Credit Suisse to investors.

According to Apple Insider, Credit Suisse expects “Apple to see a ‘muted’ upgrade cycle for the anticipated ‘iPhone 7,’ widely expected to launch in September.”

The report by analyst Kulbinder Garcha expects the 2017 iPhone (also the ten-year iPhone anniversary) to see a major design upgrade with a curved glass case housing, 5.8-inch AMOLED display. Apple Insider also points out rumours indicate Cupertino might just embed the Touch ID sensor, FaceTime camera, Speaker, all into the display.

While the Credit Suisse report predicts no major design upgrade for iPhone 7, recent ‘leaked’ photos of cases for the new iPhone claim Apple will introduce a dual-rear camera, and get rid of the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

A report says, the cases include space for a dual-rear camera in iPhone 7 Plus as well as the new “3-pin Smart Connector on the back of the device.” Earlier design leaks on Japanese blogs and magazines claimed Apple will introduce this new 3-pin Smart connector, which extends to the back of the device.

Where the 5.8-inch iPhone 7s or iPhone 8 go, this is not the first time reports hint at a glass design. An earlier report on Apple Insider, quoted KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s note, which stated the new iPhone will have a glass sandwich design like the iPhone 4s, but curved on the back and front.

His notes also said Apple could include new wireless charging, a rumour which has been speculated for quite sometime.

Another report from South Korea’s Electronic Times said LG Display, and the panel-making unit of Samsung Electronics will supply organic light emitting diode (OLED) screens for Apple’s iPhone. The report added, LG and Samsung Display are close to a final agreement with Apple for the screens, and the two Korean firms plan a combined 15 trillion won ($12.8 billion) in capital expenditure to build up OLED production capacity over the next two to three years.

Apple launched the new iPhone SE on March 21st 2016. We all know apple has always been little secretive about their new flagship. But now when we have seen the new iPhone for months here is an honest comparison, iPhone SE really better than iPhone 6s?

There are people who did not upgrade to the new 6 or the 6+ just because they were in the love with the stylish and elegant look that iPhone 5 and 5S gave us. Now when the apple came with new SE people finally upgraded.  Let us now look at the specs of the SE and as well as the 6S.

iPhone SE has a 4inch display with 1136x640 resolution but as compared to 6s it: 4.7-inch display with a 1334x750-pixel resolution. According to resolution does not matter because se has a smaller screen according to which the resolution is perfect and 6S has a larger screen so it needs more of resolution for a perfect UI and display experience.


One thing the new SE is lacking of is 3D touch. What I have noticed is a person who is not that tech savvy and has iPhone 6S is not using 3D touch. If you are a person who does not cares about 3D touch iPhone SE is a better option.

Camera
The iPhone 6S takes things up a notch in the camera department offering a 12-megapixel rear snapper with 1.22µm pixels and a f/2.2 aperture. Video recording capabilities increase to 4K and the True Tone flash remains intact. The front camera also sees a bump to 5-megapixels and while the aperture remains at f/2.2, it comes with a Retina flash.

The iPhone SE opts for the same 12-megapixel rear sensor as the iPhone 6S, meaning it is capable of 4K video recording and Live Photos. It also means you get a fantastic camera in your pocket and it's a big leap from the iPhone 5S.

There is a 1.2-megapixel front camera with an aperture of f/2.4 however, so it doesn't take from the iPhone 6S here, aside from also offering a Retina flash. The lower resolution is evident in the performance, with images a little soft and lacking in detail.

Hardware and Processing
Both iPhone SE and 6S holds Apple’s 64bit A9 processor, M9 motion co-processor and 2GB RAM. It’s just that apple has stuffed power of 6S in a smaller 4 inch smart phone. The main problem that may incur is as the new SE is a small 4 inch device with power and processor of 6S, it may heat up pretty fast as compared to 6S.

iPhone 6s is available for 47,499rs and iPhone SE is available for 37,999.

If you are budgeted up to 40k you can get iPhone SE with the power of iPhone 6S but if you can buy 6S or are using 6S. There is no point of changing to iPhone SE until and unless you are a fan of the old apple look.

The Cupertino-based smartphone maker, Apple, is out with an attractive offer of leasing the iPhone SE to Indian corporates for Rs. 999 a month for two years.

Apple has also offered this offer for its existing phones, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, on leasing plans for two years at Rs 1,199 and Rs 1,399 a month, respectively.

Corporate users can, at anytime, move from one iPhone to another, and pay the change in monthly fee as per the model.

Apple, is not targeting retail customers, but also wants corporate to use it on lease. Corporate users are getting the iPhone for Rs. 999 per month for a lease of two years, which add up to a total of Rs. 23,976. Other iPhone and iPad models are available as part of the lease program as well, which is only available to corporates and not directly to individuals.

Apple's latest smartphone from their bandwagon is the iPhone SE, and it's sleek to say the least. Sporting a 4-inch screen, the iPhone SE is reminiscent of the iPhone 5S because it is exactly the same phone. With flagship internals, though.

The iPhone SE has launched in India this week with a hefty price tags of Rs. 39,000 for the 16GB variant and Rs. 49,000 for the 64GB model. It is Apple's 'desperate' attempt at regaining the loyal audience it lost with their shift towards bigger screens in 2014.

iPhone SE may be the latest smartphone from Apple, but not generally the best. Here's 5 reasons why you should not get the iPhone SE.

Starting at $399 or Rs. 28,000 in the US, Indian audiences were expecting the iPhone SE to be priced not more than 30-33,000 rupees in India. Coming as a shocker, the 16GB variant starts in India at a price of Rs. 39,000. This price tag not only puts iPhone SE out of reach for a large number of buyers in India but also puts it in direct competition with the bigger iPhone 6S as well as flagship Android options like the Google Nexus 6P and the HTC One M9.

Another major problem with the iPhone SE is its tiny 4-inch screen, which is contrary to the trend of buying larger screen phones in India. Considering that other models in the price bracket feature much larger display sizes, iPhone SE may find struggle to find buyers in the Indian market. They have got the Nexus 6P with a huge 5.7-inch display at an even lower price.

16GB storage for Rs. 39,000 should not even be a thing in 2016, but that's what Apple is offering with the iPhone SE. Users will get around 11-12GB to store their data, which usually leads to Low Storage pop-ups on the screen within just a few days of usage. Apart from that, Live Photos and 4K videos are the new additions that take up too much space, so buyers will have to be very conservative while taking photos too.

iPhone SE oddly does not have the headlining feature of iPhone 6S and 6S Plus; 3D Touch. The lack of 3D Touch means that iPhone SE users will not be able to use the innovative hardware interface that Apple has integrated into its flagship smartphones. This becomes an even sadder deal when you see than iPhone 6S with 3D Touch can be bought at a little over Rs. 40,000 on most e-commerce sites in India.

Move on Apple, this is not the kind of innovation Jobs expected from you. iPhone SE sports the same design language as the older iPhone 5 and 5S, except for matte finish on the edges and a rose gold colour option. So unless you buy the rose gold colour option, there's no point getting the same design for that hefty price tag.

For the first time, Apple is rolling out an iPhone that does not have any feature that separates it from the plethora of competition from Android OEMs. Instead, iPhone SE features design and hardware found in earlier iPhone models, like the processor and camera of iPhone 6S and design of iPhone 5S.

iPhone SE is expected to deliver the same battery life as iPhone 5S, which needs to be charged atleast twice a day to keep running. This may be a deal-breaker for a lot of buyers, especially power-users who need their phones to not run out of juice at critical moments. You may to need to strap a power bank on to you, at all times.

Apple's iPhone SE, which is release in India today (April 8) at a price of Rs 39,000, cost the company around $160 or around Rs 10,653 to build reveals a research firm IHS.


Apple had priced the 16GB version of the iPhone SE $399 in the US, so the company appears to be making a $230 profit for the 16GB version alone. When Apple first announced the iPhone SE for India, the price was given as Rs 30,000, which was later revised to Rs 39,000.


According to the IHS teardown press statement it was revealed that "The US version of an entry-level iPhone SE with 16 gigabytes (GB) of NAND memory carries a bill of materials (BOM) of $156.20, which rises to $160.00 when the manufacturing cost is added, according to results from the IHS teardown of a phone purchased from the Apple Store on March 31, 2016."


"Apple makes approximately $89 in incremental profit for each iPhone SE 64GB sold when compared with the iPhone SE 16GB," the IHS press release further added.


It does share some iPhone 6 components including the same radio-frequency (RF) components used for LTE connectivity, Qualcomm (MDM9625) solution along with the same 1.2 megapixel secondary camera, says IHS.


IHS teardown also confirms that the iPhone SE has the same “A9 applications processor with dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) to support interactive gaming and other processor-intensive applications” as the iPhone 6s and the rear camera module.


 “Apple is willing to drop its gross margin on the low end to induce sales — though it is likely counting on many consumers upgrading to the more profitable 64 gigabyte SE model,” said Wayne Lam, principal analyst, mobile devices and networks, IHS Technology. According to IHS the “costliest subsystems in the iPhone SE is its four-inch Corning Gorilla Glass display with integrated, in-cell touch sensing.” It also found an LG Display panel in the iPhone SE in this teardown.

Apple's latest iPhone: iPhone SE and iPad: 9.7-inch iPad Pro, have been launched in India officially. The iPhone SE and iPad Pro are available through the company's online and offline retail partners. Apple's distributors for the new devices in the country include Beetel Teletech Limited and Redington India.
 

The iPhone SE will start at Rs 39,000 for the 32 GB storage variant, while the 64 GB version will set you back by Rs 49,000.

On the other hand the 9.7-inch iPad Pro is available in 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB variants costing Rs 49,900, Rs 61,900 and Rs 73,900 for WiFi only models. The WiFi+Cellular models are priced higher at Rs 61,900, Rs 73,900 and Rs 85,900 for 32 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB variants respectively.

The company's all-new iPad Pro sports a 9.7-inch display with a resolution of 2048x1536p and pixel density of 264ppi and is 25% brighter than the screen of iPad Air 2. The iPad features a new True Tone technology that tracks brightness and ambient light temperature to make the screen more eye-friendly under varying lighting condition.
 

India launch of the devices is part of the second wave of the iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro launch. In the first wave, Apple's new devices were launched in 13 countries (on March 24) including US, UK, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Singapore.

Other than India, iPhone SE and iPad Pro have launched in another 47 countries. So this little talking I am going to do will be about you should or you should not buy the new iPhone SE, as per apple the new se is the budget smart phone and the new cool but hello people RS 39000 INR, is not what you call budgeted price. 

This is the second time we have to deal with this kind of price for there so called budget smart phone the iPhone 5c was also given the tag of budget smart phone but it turned out to be way more expensive. I personally would prefer the new se over 6 or 6s and there are people who are downgrading to se from 6s.

Performance

3rd generation 64bit chip new transistor architecture optimized for real world use. May it be that the new se is smaller than the iPhone 6 but it is way more powerful than the 6. Apple decided to utilize the A9 processor from 6 month old 6s, along with the M9 co-processor.

The processors bump mean you are going to get smoother performance with apps and games, ios 9.3 is going to work as smooth as it works on the iPhone 6s.

Display

The iphone se has 4 inch widescreen display. But surprisingly the iphone 6 and the se have same pixel density rating of 326ppi.



Which means to an average eye the screen ought took look identical. You get less screen size for games and media and the ui may seem a little cramped but what do you expect  more from a 4 inch widescreen display.

Cameras

Inside the se you will find a 12 megapixel back camera, same as on the iphone 6s, and it will deliver even more sharper photo's than the iPhone 6.


Furthermore it shoots 4K video footage from the back and you can also take the live photo as on the 6s. the front  has the face-time HD 1.2 megapixel only flaw in the front camera is that it does not have the front flash and the 6S has it.

Battery life

Smaller phone shorter battery life right ? nope iPhone SE may have a smaller battery pack as compared to iPhone 6 but it its actually rated to last longer than the iPhone 6.

Everything old is new again when it comes to the iPhone line. With the announcement of a new four-inch iPhone, called the iPhone SE, Apple has brought back the screen size that users bid farewell to a couple of years ago. I had a few moments with the phone at Apple's launch event in Cupertino, Calif., and got to re-familiarize myself with the smaller screen.

 If I had to sum up the iPhone SE in one sentence it would be this: This is an iPhone 6S in the body of an iPhone 5S.

That's nice for people who like the metal body and size of the 5S. There probably won't be a lot of people who switch to the SE from a 6S or 6S Plus, though, unless they really miss the smaller screen. In fact, it's sort of shocking how small the phone feels in hand — even though it hasn't been that long since it was the standard size for the iPhone. I've clearly become quickly accustomed to screens that are at least an inch larger.

If you haven't upgraded to the newest iPhones, for whatever reason, this phone will offer you some significant performance improvements. As a way to illustrate how powerful this little model is, an Apple employee demonstrating the phones at the event made sure to show me how well the smaller phone handles complex games.

It is, admittedly, hard to get a good handle on performance in a brief hands-on session. But everything felt very zippy, even features such as Live Photos and video playback, which is unusual on a phone of that size in today's market. Apart from a few missing features such as 3D Touch, the iPhone SE felt pretty much like its larger and more expensive counterparts.

So from an engineering standpoint, this feels like an accomplishment. Being able to pack most of the performance of the latest iPhones into that smaller case is no mean feat. To consumers, however, it may not seem so revolutionary.

Still, it's a nice option to have on the market — a compact phone that feels powerful rather than sluggish and another option to consider for people who really like having a smaller phone.

And who are those people? Anecdotally, I've had a lot of people email me — mostly older smartphone users — who have said they want to retain that smaller screen. Some people say they can't get a grip on the new phones; others say that they're not that interested in watching video that is more conducive to larger screens and prefer to keep things compact.

Is it a niche market? Yes. Is it a pretty big niche? Well, Apple said onstage that it has sold 30 million four-inch iPhones in 2015, using it as justification for going back to the four-inch screen. (Keep in mind that the last four-inch iPhone was launched in 2013.)

Mostly, I'd say this phone will appeal to people who want a good smartphone that works well but who don't need to always be at the cutting edge of technology. Big screens are good for being able to test out all the new things. A smaller screen somehow feels like a phone that goes about its business more quietly.

And it is true that the four-inch screen is somewhat, well, comforting. With a large phone, I often feel as if I'm about to drop it, or that it is going to slip out of my hand because it's so slender. While I don't know that I would personally go back to a smaller phone, I did have a nostalgic moment for the stockier iPhone, even if it didn't exactly bowl me over.

It's clear that Apple isn't going after the wow factor with the iPhone SE. What the company does appear to be going after is consumer demand, both for a smaller iPhone and for a slightly cheaper one. (Because who doesn't like things to be cheaper?) And it comes in the full slate of iPhone colors — gray, white, gold and rose gold — so even smaller-phone fans will have a range of color options.

The new iPhone SE starts at $399, that is 39,990 for India, making it far cheaper than the base $650 iPhone 6S or $750 iPhone 6S Plus. The starting model comes with 16 gigabytes of storage, while an upgrade to 64GB will cost you an additional $100.

It truly is an iPhone 6S inside the shell of an iPhone 5S.The iPhone SE will be available to pre-order beginning March 24 and will ship a week later on March 31.

Pricing is set at $399 for the 16GB model and $499 for the 64GB variant, all of which will be available in your choice of rose gold, gold, silver and space grey. The 16GB model is free with a two-year service agreement (if you can still find anyone offering them) or around $13.30 per month on an installment payment plan.

Having sold 30 million 4-inch iPhones in 2015, Apple clearly considers this an important market that it needed to address with its latest specs and capabilities and that's what the iPhone SE aims to achieve.

"Many, many customers have asked for this," said Apple CEO Tim Cook during Apple's launch event. "And I think they're going to love it."

The new iPhone SE starts at $399 with 16GB of storage and maxes out at $499 with 64GB. It'll be available in gold and rose gold colors alongside more traditional light and dark options. Preorders begin on March 24th and the phone will be available on March 31st. The iPhone SE will be in more than 100 countries by the end of May.


Apple also unveiled new accessories such as leather cases in black and midnight blue, which will be available at Rs. 2,900. The Lightning Docks will be available at Rs. 3,700.
